Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery
Cup of coffee and a pastry? Yes! Get what I got (whatever those are called) and enjoy 😂
Gotham Burger Social Club
Rumored to be the best smash burger in NYC. I think we are spoiled in Stockholm, the level of smash is different there. The burger was ok, the frickles and tots were great!
Adel's Famous Halal Food
Maybe doesn’t look lovely but this was another 10/10. The only halal food truck you need to try. Opens at 5pm to 5am, get ready for a line!

L'Industrie Pizzeria
Had to do L’Industrie in Brooklyn, one of the better slices we had!
Sunday In Brooklyn
This brunch place is a must, would probably take me forever to find a better spot than this.
Take 31
Dinner in Koreatown! Start with the crispy corn pancake and makgeolli and let the evening take you to Seoul.
Levain Bakery – Flatiron
Yeah.. Cookies. So good.
Talea Beer Co. West Village
NYC female founded brewery opened up at West Village, conveniently between Mamas Too and L’industrie. My recommendation is to stand in line for a slice at one of those spots, get your food to go and go to Talea’s where you can comfortably sit and enjoy their beers alongside your bites.
Apollo Bagels
Best bagel spot for me, 10/10. Fell in love with the cream cheese + tomato one.
Peachy's
Speakeasy alert 🚨 Found a few of them. Peachy’s was not as hidden as some but it HELD UP (a few examples are Bathtub Gin and George Bang Bang are located inside cafés and soup kitchens - do your research before visiting the speakeasies). Just tell the bouncer here that you want to visit Peachy’s, go down to the basement or whatever it is and enjoy. No photos, no fighting though. I did both.
Jin Mei Dumpling
Just a 10 minute walk from Wah Fung was this place. I don’t even remember what this cost since I was high on the pork belly, however it is cheap. Just bring cash, get the fried dumplings and get ready for 15 of them 🤤
Wah Fung No.1 Fast Food
$5.50 for a meal in NYC - only in Chinatown. If I could re-eat one meal from New York, their pork belly on rice would be on the top of my list. Get ready to stand in line for 30 minutes minimum and pay in cash. THIS PLACE WAS IT.
LOS TACOS No.1
It was like entering Mexico. Recommendations: get comfortable with basic Spanish and order the adobado 🌮
Sarabeth's Central Park South
Great breakfast, a bit pricey but isn’t everything in NYC pricey? Everything from the maple wood smoked bacon to their ricotta lemon pancake was top.
Softside
A must for ice cream lovers. Their ”The Riff” is 10/10. Vanilla softserve, olive oil, honey, sea salt. 🫳🏼🎤
Katz's Delicatessen
I’ve heard that if you have to eat pastrami somewhere, it should be at Katz - I agree. Not my favorite meal of the day but I’m happy I tried this classic spot.
Leon's Bagels
Had to try a classic bagel. Just happened to walk past Leon’s and it didn’t disappoint.
Comedy Cellar
Bucket list energy! Make a reservation for any of the shows, if you check in advance you could possibly time a recording of a special. If you are early you’ll get to chose where you’d want to sit. Second row is to recommend. Just enjoy and don’t be shy 💀
Berimbau Brazilian Kitchen - West Village
Perfect pit stop for any type a Caipirinha (its not for us, we only do the classic version.. right?) if strolling around in West Village. They got Brazilian cuisine as well for the ones with room left, did not try it though.
Mama's TOO! Pizzeria West Village
Came here for their viral chicken cutlet sandwich, left loving their vodka sauce pizza. My favorite pizza place in NY, for now.
