I recently had an unforgettable dining experience at East on December 26th, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff were incredibly welcoming.

I ordered the Fried Fish Three Flavors, and it was nothing short of exquisite. The dish was perfectly prepared, featuring a delightful balance of flavors that left a lasting impression.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the sunset view from the restaurant. It created the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Overall, I would rate East a solid 10/10. Whether you're a food enthusiast or just looking for a great place to dine, East is definitely worth a visit!

This was our favorite meal of our stay. Absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. The staff were exceptional with our baby boy and did everything they could to help us have a great evening. Thanks Abi and team.

We had a great dinner at East Restaurant.
Earlier in the afternoon we joined a cooking class held by Chef Suksan, which was both a tasty and fun learning experience. During the class Chef Suksan asked everyone what we would usually cook at home, something we liked cooking ourselves.. and we replied salmon.
Later in the night, we were at East for our dinner and the Chef surprised us with a salmon dish, not on the menu, probably the best salmon dish we have ever had..

It is things like these that make East Restaurant and LUX Le Morne an amazing place, thank you for making our honeymoon experience very special 🤍

I had dinner at this restaurant on Christmas Day. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive, the location was absolutely stunning and the food was exquisite. Really made me feel comfortable during my time there. JJ, Abiraj and the rest of the team at this restaurant were absolutely fantastic.

We ate here as part of our stay at the Lux Le Morne hotel. While the setting was nice, we had expected more.
The food was good but not exceptional and portions were quite conservatively sized.
The main problem was service, which was very slow and un-attentive. We waited ages to get menus and 50’ for our drinks.
I expect more from one of the restaurants that a 5-star hotel bigs up as one of the fancy restaurant experiences they offered.

We stayed five nights in this hotel room #330, this is an absolute wonderful experience for us. You’ll get everything you get here beautiful & stunning view to the LeMorne mountain and beaches with full of activities. Hotel is very clean & nicely managed property. Food is awesome & plenty of variety. Service from staff is excellent.

One day will make another stay in this hotel.

Went there for our honeymoon and had a great time. The natural beauty is outstanding — I particularly enjoyed the golf and scuba diving (first time ever).

Room was nice and spacious, but not modern compared to equivalent hotels.

I would not recommend half (or full board) unless you’re going to eat A LOT. The restaurants are nice but nothing to write home about, maybe check just outside the gate and you might find a nice alternative for an evening. Upon arrival we were not impressed as most restaurants were already booked, which felt weird. The Mediterranean restaurant is of poor quality, the gastronomy one is ok but nothing outstanding if you’re used to eating well and the creolean option is also very nice (but they have lots of cats in the area). The crepes in the afternoon near the main pool were great!!

Beach and sun lounge areas are all beautiful!

Lovely hotel, great food and fabulous staff. Perfect beach location too.

Only thing we didn't like was that they didn't put the yellow buoys further out to sea so guests/children have plenty of room to snorkel around the reefs as the boats come too close to the buoys right next to first reefs. Why do the boats not go out further to sea and risk hitting guests that are snorkelling? This actually annoyed us quite a bit.

Our family of four (two adults and two kids aged 8 and 10) recently stayed at Paradis Beachcomber. While there were many positives, there were also some areas where the experience fell short of expectations.

Pros:

•	Location: The resort is in an absolutely stunning location, with a beautiful beach and the iconic Le Morne mountain providing a breathtaking backdrop.
•	Family-Friendly Accommodation: Our room was well-suited for a family of four, complete with a generous balcony that added to the space and comfort.
•	Pool: The large pool was good —spacious, well-maintained, and at a perfect temperature for swimming.
•	Beach: the beach was amazing. Soft,
White sand and beautiful water for swimming. Too many boats but that’s not the fault of the hotel but mainly because it was the best spot for snorkelling.
•	Convenient Golf Buggies: Golf buggies were frequent and reliable, ensuring we were never left waiting long to get around.
•	Activities and Sports: The best part of our stay was the ‘sports camp’ vibe of the resort. We enjoyed tennis, golf, swimming, and table tennis almost every day—it was a fantastic way to stay active and bond as a family.
•	Tennis/Sports Club Staff: The staff at the tennis and sports club were excellent, with special mention to the guy who managed the sports centre and organised the football match. He went above and beyond to make it fun and engaging.

Areas for
Improvement:

•	Service: Unfortunately, service was generally poor and lacked the warmth you’d expect from a luxury resort. A few specific instances stood out:
•	On arrival, we were simply pointed to our room by a staff member who left us with, “Your room is on the 2nd floor.”
•	Similarly, on departure, there was no effort to thank us for our stay or express a desire to welcome us back. We were handed the bill with barely an acknowledgment of our visit.
•	Overall, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care from staff. While groups of employees often stood around, they seemed disengaged and not proactive in offering assistance.
•	Room Location: Unfortunately, our room faced the staging area for the festive celebrations, which meant five days of noise, trucks, buggies, groups of men standing around and construction-like activity just outside our door. While this issue only affected a few rooms, it significantly impacted our experience. Despite expressing our disappointment to reception, there was no follow-up or apology, highlighting a lack of concern.
•	Food Quality: The dining experience was good but not great. The resort’s attempt at refined and fancy cuisine often fell short in execution. The Mauritian restaurant, in particular, was a disappointment—the ‘7 curries’ dish, priced at around £50, lacked flavor and did not meet expectations and was very poor value (note, they did offer to adjust our bill for this when I mentioned it).

We were on a half board package but for dinners this usually only meant 2-3 options where no surcharge was added. Often any shell fish came with a steep surcharge of over £20 per dish.

The best food we had was the ‘Artisan’ making salad on the beach. The hotel would do well to have a more authentic, less fancy all day menu.

Overall Impression:

While we enjoyed the location, facilities, and activities, the lack of warmth and attentiveness from staff left us feeling unwelcome. For a resort of this caliber, which comes with high expectations, the level of service was disappointing. With so many other options in Mauritius, we would likely look elsewhere for our next visit.
