This place is a MUST if you are in Lisbon!!

We lived in an airbnb just around the corner from this place and passed by every evening. EVERY time we passed by the place was packed and seemd to have a lovely vibe inside so for the last evening we booked a table here.

The place is run by the son of the family who started the place an he was super nice. We ordered the steak of the house and a whole grilled fish. The food may not look much to the world from the pics, but trust me it was damn delicious. If your looking for a great local spot with Potugese food, this is it. No fuzz, just good ingredients and great taste.

Also the prices were very good😊

Best food I had in Lisbon. Our driver suggested this place, saying it was a true authentic Portuguese restaurant and it truly was. Looks like my grandmothers old dinning kitchen. Menu was only in Portuguese but the waiter translated to us. The customers were all locals, we were the only tourists which is a great indication of how good it is. The food was so fresh, tasty and all authentic options. I recommend making reservations as it is very small. We arrived as it opened and filled up very quickly.

It is a true gem with traditional food at very friendly prices and good service, so small and popular that reservation is essential (digitally available which is rare for this generation of restaurants)!
We were 4 boys about for lunch with great starters, generous main servings with a delicious home made chilli, a dessert each, endless supply of the dry white house wine, waters and coffee for €25/pax: true time travelling!!

Very traditional restaurant! The food was absolutely spectacular. We got everything seafood from pira piri shrimp, sea bass and octopus and everything was so fresh and amazing. Service was exceptional and the atmosphere was very cozy and warm. You know when locals are eating here that you are getting the best food. We really enjoyed our time!

Best Portuguese food we had in Lisbon! Tiny neighbourhood restaurant which felt authentic and had a good mix of tourists and locals. Hand written menu in Portuguese only, but the waiter kindly translated for us. The octopus was very tender, good portion size and very reasonably priced compared to other places we checked out! Reservations recommended especially if in a larger group, as it is a very tiny place and seems quite popular. NOTE: cash only.
