service - Firstly there were two events running concurrently, guessing one was a corporate booking and the other Jinx entertainment. The entertainment of the evening, the person was speaking at the stage but at times it was crowded out by raucous laughter or voices speaking at the other event. it's fine having duo bookings but the screen should had been pulled, so that both events doesn't disturb each other.

secondly, my order of satay was made just before the emcee went on stage. During the intermission, which was more than half an hour later, it still didn't arrive. Alas we were sat beside a table with some friends of one of the owners and we noticed that even though they ordered much later, their food arrived so much quicker. Ours only arrived after the waitress was reminded, and that was during the second half where we couldn't even see much of what was on the plates as the lights were dimmed. The amount of sauce provided was stingy as well even though the price was higher. After requesting for a table light, one came which died after less than 5 minutes. Totally gave up on the service. Apparently on my other side, the couple also had some dishes which didn't arrive and the lady told the waitress to cancel.

The waitress who took our first order was nice though.

Food- the lemongrass satay was nice but it's on the high side at $18 for half a dozen. Happy hour was until 7 but 2 types of beers ran out, even before the night had started. only left with Cass, Guinness and one other type which I cannot remember.

The staff are polite and attentive.

The dishes are delicious. It's a surprise to find the wok hey in their Asian rice and noodles dishes like fried rice and crispy egg noodles.

Other than the food, my friends and I usually enjoy the live band music. My favourite band is Rush Hour who performs on Fridays.

A great place to celebrate birthdays. There's a complimentary slice of brownie,  with birthday songs sung by the band.

The main intention of visiting the place is to try the Hokkien mee introduced by the botak. We were quite disappointed by the Hokkien mee and most of the dishes. The only dish worth to mention is the baby squid rojak!

I have ordered crab meat angle hair with truffle and a lamb chop.

The lamb chop was delicious, I like it. but the crab meant angle hair was very disappointing because i cant eat or taste any crab meat in it. Checked with the staff and he said the crab meat is shred in it but after i finished eating the whole dish I did not taste or eat any crab meat.

Atmosphere was good.

A super underrated hidden gem inside Rendezvous Hotel, with a nice live performance (mostly Mandarin songs).

Beyond excellent service, because they didn't know it's a birthday but once they found out, they brought out this banger of a cake. Superb presentation!

Must try the crab fried rice, and I also enjoyed the fish and chips. House pour beer is pleasant too, just remember happy hour ends at 7.30pm
