My flight was cancelled so I opted for a day pass to spend my extra day in Miami. Check in was a breeze which included bag check. I started with breakfast on the patio and enjoyed the most amazing coffee and then steak eggs. The meal was delicious and the service was wonderful.
Headed to the beach where I was set up with a lounge chair and towels, unfortunately there were no umbrellas that day because of the wind, keep this in mind if you need shade. The service from Ed and David was great, they were fantastic. When I needed some shade I headed to the pool area where the great service continued.
Ordered some lunch, shrimp cocktail and the burger, which I really enjoyed.
I highly recommend the day pass option based solely on the service, the great food and ambiance only added to the experience.
My only recommendation would be a way for day passers to be able to unlock the gate to get back to the pool area. As it is now, the beach staff need to walk back with you to unlock the gate. Not a biggie.

I decided to treat myself to a beach day at the Ritz Carlton Bal Harbour via Resort Pass. I paid $125 for the day for access to the pool, beach, restaurants, etc. Upon my arrival, I told valet that I was going to the beach and had a Resort Pass and requested to see my email validating that indeed had a reservation. He must have seen the look on my face because he went on to explain that sometimes people try to park at valet and go to the beach without a reservation -ok, I let it go.

I had great service my the staff at the beach, food was great and stayed for 4 hours and feeling super relaxed and grateful. As I'm leaving and about to enter back into the gate to go back into the hotel entrance, two ladies who work there see me and then turn around as I approach the door. I said, excuse me can you open the door for me please - she asked if I was a resident or staying at the hotel, I told her I had a day pass, had been at the beach and my car was parked in valet - she said, I can't open the gate for you unless you are a resident or staying at the hotel. HUH?!! Luckily, one of the beach workers came behind me and she said he can open it for you. So rude and lack of consideration for my stay there for the day.

I go to valet to get my car and the attendant tells me it's $25. I told him online at Resort Pass the valet fee states $15. He said, it's a holiday. what holiday sir? Valentine's Day. Seriously??? You are charging me extra because it's Valentine's Day? He said you have to go to the front desk and pay. I go to front desk and ask Alexandra why is there a difference in cost, it states $15 online, she said actually it's $40. No way! She said, let me ask my manager. she goes in the back and comes back and says, It's $25 because it's a holiday. I said it's not a Holiday - no one's off work or out of school because it's Valentine's Day. I asked if they just change the price whenever they want, she said it's a holiday. I asked her, if I come tomorrow what will the price be, she said $15.

I am appalled at the lack of consideration for people who come to enjoy the property and have a nice experience, but feel taken advantage of and made to feel like they are not welcome there. I will not be going back again, as they didn't feel the need to accommodate what their agreement was with Resort Pass and what the fee was online.

Our stay at the Ritz was very pleasant. Customer service levels are unprecedented. Employee are focused on providing unbelievable service. I wish I recalled everyone’s names so that I can properly thank thank them but unfortunately I don’t. Cedrick went out of his way to make our beach experience wonderful. He adjusted the umbrellas without even being asked and everything was done with a smile. I highly recommend this place!

We spent the day at the Ritz Carlton beach which we booked through Resort Pass.  It was a great experience.  The service is excellent.  Alessandro assisted us with beach chairs and anticipated our needs, for citrus water and moving our shade umbrella,  before we even asked. We also enjoyed cocktails and a delicious lunch beach side.  Highly recommend!

The worst, rudest service I have ever gotten in a hotel.
I came here to relax at the spa. Upon my arrival, the valet refuses to take my car and slams its door, saying he’s not parking my car because I don’t have a day pass to use the hotel facilities. I reply I’m happy to get one, I’ll just sit by the front desk to get some help with that. He follows me to the front desk saying I can’t do that. When I speak to the manager , she apologizes saying I don’t need the day pass because the use of the beach is included in the spa appointment. But once I get to the beach, the personnel tell me I can’t use the amenities because I need a day pass. When I call the front desk, the associate clarifies that the manager meant to say the beach is included because it’s public, but I actually do need a day pass to use the chairs and towels, however they are sold out at the moment.
At that point, I can’t cancel my spa appointment so I’m at a supposedly 5-star hotel without a towel or a place to sit, 3 hrs in advance of my spa session.
I wanted to treat myself to a nice afternoon by the beach and relax at the spa, and I was happy to pay to receive the services I wanted. Instead, I got rude behavior and incoherent information from the different parties. The beach manager Edge was the one kind person in this whole mess.
I’m a Bonvoy member and I never had such a disappointing experience at a luxury hotel.
I live in Miami, and I’m  never coming back.
If you come this far, don’t make the same mistake, and go to the Four Seasons instead.
