This hotel is a gem, nestled in a corner of the castle walls in Tarifa. The room was comfortable and modern. Coffee, water and all the accoutrements. The staff was warm and inviting and seems to speak any language you may need. The rooftop terrace was an amazing place to share a glass of wine. The hotel is a quick walk anywhere in Tarifa you may want to go!

Loved our second stay at the Kook Hotel in Tarifa - super friendly staff, amazing roof top terrace and beautiful. My only suggestion would be to diversify the breakfast menu a bit - if you spend a few nights at the hotel, it gets a bit monotonous after a while. But regardless of that, we will be happy to come back!

Place that feels like home - away from home. I wish we had more time in Tarifa and only spent a night here, but that doesn’t take away from the fantastic experience we had here. Our host even went an extra mile to make sure we have breakfast available (I mean room service!) for us before we leave early the next morning. Truly appreciate it! This modern and indeed eclectic place has everything you need for your comfort: comfy rooms, great rooftop with the best views on Tarifa, generous self-service options to grab a bite during the day in the lobby area. (refreshing cool water, local fruit, coffee and tea choices). All in all a great time we had here, planning to come back again!❤️🇪🇸

Was really happy to dine again and come back at this restaurant. Fresh, always good but our paella came super salty… :( was craving for this and we end up not eating our mains which my daughter didn’t had her proper meal and end up without eating. One of the waiter apologized as he knew that my daughter didn’t eat nothing and offered something for her but the problem, for long time waiting, we’ve lost our appetite and we cant wait another 20-30 minutes to prepare another paella and there kitchen was closed. hope that they will control the saltiness of food so it will not happen again.

The fish and seafood in La Fontanilla are superb, that is a fact !!! The staff are very professional, from the staff in the kitchen to the waiter. Friendly and courteous. Always in good humor. My dining experience with this restaurant has always, without exception, been five star.
Diego at the bar and greeter at the front door is great. Victor and Fran give the best advice with your wines.
Strongly recommend La Fontanilla.

The restaurant is right on the beach we arrived without a booking and the place was full but they still managed to fit us in and in an incredible spot! Really like this restaurant and it’s service 100% recommended!

I have been going to this restaurant for more than 10 years and I have to say it is probably my favourite place to eat in the world. The service is professional, the food as fresh as it can be and the location perfect. I strongly reccomend booking in the peak season.
