Amazing view and sunset to Valtos Beach. Unfortunately service and food did not match with view. First we were welcomed warmly, but then weirdly waiter started asking before ordering main dishes the method of payment. They brought us main dishes even we had not finished our first courses. We asked to have some piece and patience to eat first dishes first and bring the main ones later, but the waiter left those on the table. So needed to eat those cold. All food would have needed more spices st least salt and pepper. We felt they were trying to get rid of us as quick as possible to have the table free for others. Not good experience with this restaurant.

We had a hallomi and a saganaki as a apertizer and they were amazing.Beef stifado and beef giouvani was amazing and the meat was so tender and delicious. The staff are really friendly and in a good mood. The view is amazing as it overlooks the sunset and valtos beach. Everything with this resturant is verry good, highly recommend.

Since we were on our honeymoon, they made the experience special by starting our meal with champagne—a thoughtful touch that we truly appreciated.

With its warm atmosphere and top-notch hospitality, Vaughans Anchor Inn is perfect for anyone visiting the Cliffs of Moher. We were glad to have two nights to fully enjoy our time here and would definitely recommend a stay!

Absolutely wonderful all around! The room was beautiful and comfortable. One of the best sleeps we have had in a long time. Great location with two additional pubs next door. The food was fantastic. Dinner was lovely, well priced, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Breakfast was even better. My husband is quite the critic, and he declared the full Irish breakfast as “the best breakfast he has had in his life.” I would go out of my way to stay here again.

During our latest visit, the experience was mostly enjoyable, though a few aspects didn’t quite meet our expectations this time around. The oysters were a standout, beautifully presented in a silver dish and incredibly fresh. However, the fish and chips, while traditionally a favourite, had a slight off-note due to the frying oil, which seemed a bit overused. The risotto was quite bland and had some crab shells. The side vegetables were pleasant but could have used a bit more care in preparation. Desserts were good, though nothing particularly memorable.

The ambiance remains inviting, especially with the recent updates to the interior, which look fantastic. Additionally, the staff were friendly and helpful.

It feels as though Vaughan’s may be resting on its laurels, while other local spots are stepping up and offering a more exciting culinary experience. It’s disappointing to see a beloved institution not quite hitting the mark, especially when we know what they’re capable of.

Stop !! What a find James isn’t a chief he’s a magician. Also one of the best wines lists I’ve seen in a long time. Staff are all amazing, happy and extremely helpful. Please come enjoy the night and lap up the wonderful atmosphere of exceptional food and an open fire ! Ps try the whiskey sour ❤️

Can only review based on the food but we were incredibly and pleasantly surprised in the best way by the meal we received here. The octopus and black pudding was a particular highlight.
I highly recommend it to anyone in the area to go for dinner.
