I booked a premier executive room with a “fantastic view of downtown Seoul” but felt I got cheated when I was given a room with a view of a wall and a bunch of AC units.

I’m happy the hotel got me a better room the next day with additional payment unfortunately but now that I think about it and looked back to my booking, they basically lied to me about the view. They could’ve upgraded me for free as an apology but they didn’t.

The accommodations were satisfactory, and the room was well-maintained. Although the check-in process was somewhat time-consuming, the service provided by the staff was commendable. The room was spacious and met my requirements. The room and bathroom were consistently clean and tidy throughout my stay, although there were occasional delays in the turndown service during the day.

After having stayed at both the Lotte Hotel and Executive Tower in Myeongdong, I enjoyed the consistent and excellent guest service in both locations.

Everything was great except for the beds in both places.  The mattresses are sunken in due to use over time.  I could feel one extended mattress spring at the center of the bed in my room at the Executive Tower.

I wonder how often Lotte replaces their mattresses.  I am hesitant in booking their hotel next time because of the mattresses.  This is why I gave four stars instead of five.

We are staying in executive tower with “le cime” access.
The only good thing I can mention is the breakfast with a good variety and quiet atmosphere in the lounge.
Other than that I don’t like the hotel.
I booked a large room, in real life it faces a next building wall with huge Air con fans outside our window making constant noise.
The glass doors in the bathrooms are banging when close, the room has no humidifier and it is really dry. There’s a walkin closet but no iron and board, we had to ask for it. Too few hangers inside. A hairdryer is old and ridiculous.
The spa area is crowded, spa guests apparently locals are talking to each other loudly making it impossible to relax.
I  am disappointed that we booked this hotel.
It is not a luxury experience whatsoever.

Don’t Miss!

This hotel is THE BEST.  We stayed at 3 other hotels during our trip to South Korea.  Here, The Grand Josun in Busan, the Banyan Tree Club and Spa near the Namsan Mountains and the Ryse Marriott in Hongdae.  The Gran Josun and the Banyan Tree Club were both excellent but after the Lotte Executive Tower it was hard to beat!

Wonderful staff, easy check-in, beautiful suites.  The Le Salon was wonderful.  We only had breakfast there until our last night, where we finally were around for the happy hour.  The happy hour was the best!  Full dinner, tons of choices for drinks.  It was a great experience.  We ate many places in Seoul and kept missing it, and I’m glad we did.  Because my husband would NOT have wanted to venture out; if we knew from the beginning how wonderful the happy hour was.

I also very much loved the location.  Myeongdong is a lively area, touristy yes, but great fun.  Also, there is a Michelin star ramen place within walking distance of the hotel.  Also, it’s very central.  We went every direction from the Lotte, by bus, walking or by train and all stops were super close.  You can’t go wrong staying here.
