Horrible Experience – Avoid This Place!

I had an awful experience at Club 77. I had a valid ticket and was speaking to the bouncer about entering when, out of nowhere, a very rude bald man stormed up to me. He claimed to be the venue owner and, without any explanation, told me I couldn’t enter. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he even had the nerve to say, “Don’t stand in my venue,” when I was clearly in a public area. Could he be any more rude?!

The arrogance and unprofessionalism were beyond belief. I was treated with complete disrespect for absolutely no reason. If this is how the owner behaves, I can only imagine how poorly the rest of the place is run. Clearly, they have no concept of customer service.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else—this place is absolutely not worth the hassle!

Your response is laughable and full of blatant lies. Let’s set the record straight.

1.	I had a valid ticket – purchased through Eventbrite. No one asked if I was on a guest list because I already had a ticket.
2.	No queue – I arrived to find an empty entrance, which in hindsight, speaks volumes about the kind of experience others must have had.
3.	Unprovoked aggression – I was calmly showing my ticket to the doorman when someone, who claimed to be the owner, rudely intervened, shouted at me, and denied entry without reason.
4.	Blatant disrespect – Instead of acting professionally, this so-called “owner” behaved like an entitled, power-tripping teenager, going as far as telling me not to stand in a public space.

Your attempt to rewrite the story to make yourselves look good is PATHETIC. Instead of gaslighting customers with false statements, how about taking responsibility for your unprofessional behavior?

Honestly, the way my mates and I were treated a few weeks ago was absolutely disgusting. We were not given a reason as to why we were not allowed entry. We had signed up for the guest list tickets. To make things worse, we’ve come to Club 77 for years and have always been treated respectfully, so this is shocking to tell you the least.

To the so-called “owner” of club 77. You are the problem with Sydney’s night life. No reason as to why we weren’t allowed in.  Shame on you.

THIS PLUS SUCKS, so much smoke, the lights are red and venue is smelly, the gender neutral bathrooms are RANK, men and women SHOULD NOT share a bathroom?? and the music? it’s not even music, i felt i was in a bad coma, i couldn’t even see my feet because of the thick smoke  and i’m 4’1. 0/10 literally shut this place down!!!!

I’ve visited Club 77 several times before, and it’s always been a great experience, reminding me of a slice of home in the UK. However, after tonight, I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with how I was treated. I was simply looking for more information about the event happening this evening and asking a few questions to help me decide if I wanted to stay. The staff member I interacted with, who I suspect might be the owner, was extremely rude and dismissive.

It was clear from our interaction that I was not being respected as a guest. The person appeared to be intoxicated, which made it even worse. He was not in the right state to be working, and it affected the atmosphere of the entire venue. His behavior was unprofessional, and it left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.

It's such a shame because I've had great times here before, but tonight's experience was so negative that I’m unlikely to return unless this behavior is addressed. The staff’s attitude, especially from someone in a position of authority, has left a very sour impression.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously as it truly impacted my perception of the venue.
