I really liked this place.  Despite being in a popular area of Berlin, it didn’t seem touristy.  It was mainly middle aged locals & a few travellers from the adjacent hostel.
The beer was really good, we’d already booked a table to eat elsewhere otherwise we’d have stayed longer.
The bar maid was excellent; funny, knowledgeable & friendly.  She even eventually agreed to sell me the Berlin Weisse without the sickly syrup!

A lovely atmospheric bar in Chausseestraße, opened in 1893 and was my favourite bar in Berlin when on holiday there, the staff speak good English, were friendly and great to talk to with excellent customer service. I would highly recommend visiting for a beer and the experience of sitting in an historic old Berlin bar.

Having a Grevensteiner in Berlin feels like magic. It's one od the best German beers, as well as the full bodied ones.

The place has a cool 90s feeling. Very nice and helpful staff speaking very good English. The only setback are people smoking inside (for some it could actually be an asset).

Already love it.

good atmosphere and good beers.  Carlos made the party for us with good music.  To consider... smoking is allowed inside and the terrace closes at 10 p.m.
