It seems like making a reservation is the best idea. We visited for lunch, and it packed up quite quickly. The food was okay. The service was good.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely incredible service, atmosphere, and food. Everything we ordered was impeccable and the staff went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable, comfortable experience. I called to add another guest to our reservation a few hours before and even the person on the phone was so kind and helpful. Truly fine dining all around.

Big fan of Michael's. Worked in the area for several years and had great business lunches a few times a year. Because I lived in a different part of the city, I never thought to try it for dinner. Recently, I was looking for a classic NYC fine dining restaurant in midtown good for families with kids for a family birthday celebration. A friend suggested we try Michael's and they delivered! The lovely hostess made it magical for our kids upon entry, we were treated with the table in the window, the food was fresh and tasty and the kids loved it!  There is not a kids menu but they will do kids pasta, simple burger, steak, chicken, etc. One of our kids - the pickiest eater -  ordered a butter pasta and said it was the best they ever had. We all tried it and agreed, had to order another!
There is a pretty limited wine selection but all were very good.  Beer selection could be improved. The classic room has been the setting for many business deals and I have fond memories of a few, enhanced by our recent family experience. Love the laid-back but first-class vibe and unpretentious service. Highly recommend!

The food was good and the staff was superb. The dining room is also beautiful. We went for a weekday lunch and it was very much a business crowd. The vibe is borderline stuffy, but the staff was so kind that their warmth offset that.

Bra mat, bra Service och kan inte säga tillräckligt om gästfrihet. Underbar atmosfär och den bästa restaurangen i NYC!

Personligen gillade jag inte maten så mycket. Det var en mycket bra måltid men det var inte utsökt. Min minuträtt var Grilled Branzino. Vi hade också krispiga brysselkål. Båda var för tunga. De är tänkta att bli super mild disk, förstår verkligen inte vad som hände. De kanske använde för mycket olivolja. Servicen var mycket professionell, ibland till och med överdriven. Trevlig sak är att det finns en päls checker vid entrén.

Den bäst bevarade hemligheten för middag i NYC. Alltid underbart för lunch. Nu är deras övergång till middagsservering en 5-stjärnig upplevelse. Be om Celino Martinez (Manager), så att din upplevelse är perfekt.

Så jag har haft denna affär med en av min affärspartners döttrar som bor i staden i några år. Det var den plats hon valde till lunch på den här senaste resan och som vanligt slog hennes urval det ur parken. Maten var fantastisk! Och tjänsten var några av de bästa Ive hade i staden. Du kan säga att flera av tabellerna var lokalbefolkningen och att detta var en plats de frekventerade. En sann lokal pärla!

Vi ville ha en trevlig lugn plats för en lätt avslappnande middag. Michael fyllde räkningen. Atmosfären är tyst, tjänsten utmärkt och maten utsökt. Vi beställde haricot frites (som har en mycket lätt tempura batter), koreanska tacos, musslor och en bonde pizza. Varje maträtt var utmärkt. Vi träffade Celina Martinez som sa tillbringade tid att berätta allt om kvarterets och byggnadens historia. Vi kommer snart tillbaka för en annan middag.

Vi har haft middag på Mikaels, hade intima familjen middagar här och deltog nyligen i ett fantastiskt bröllop på restaurangen. Mat har alltid varit säsongsbetonade, noggrant förberedda och alltid utmärkt. Vid bröllopet vi behandlades till fantastiska, kreativa hors d'ouevres, middag, paced vackert med alla matsal samtidigt, var elegant och läckra.

Ett mest anmärkningsvärt ögonblick under firandet när vi dansade, hade efterrätt och hjärtat frågat om en barstol till en vän som behövde sitta. Servitören rekommenderade att de hade tagits bort för bröllopet i rymdens intresse. En matsalstol skulle ha satt gästerna på midjenivå. Inom några minuter anlände barstolen, diskret placerad nära dansgolvet och en hi-top och festen fortsatte.

Uppmärksamheten översteg förväntan för en personal som aldrig slutat flytta för att försäkra gästkomfort. Och vi alla kunde njuta av vår kväll och rosta det lyckliga paret.

Baserat på recensioner bokade vi Mikaels till middag. Första intrycket en inredning som liknar en bankett med runda stora bord och väldigt mycket bullriga. Vi hade en servitör som sprang runt som en kyckling utan huvud, lovande att vara där snart för att få vår drink order. Det tog 30 minuter att få vårt vatten serveras att borda av en löpare. Ordern kom sent och min maträtt placerades felaktigt. Det fanns en julfest bredvid extremt högt att det var svårt att kommunicera med varandra. Vi var överklädd med skjorta och slips. Vi var tvungna att be om återfyllnad och bröd. Jag vet inte var de 5 stjärniga recensionerna kommer från eftersom min maträtt och mina familjemedlemmar inte var så bra. Vi var över debiteras av två glas vin efter gör inspektion av bill, servitören svarade att ta det av hans tips skrattar. . . antingen måste ledningen få fler servitörer eller träna dem för att göra ett bättre jobb.
