I’m a true regular to this place! 80% of the time, I’m exhausted from work and pick up food from mee noodles. 20% of the time, I dine in. It never disappoints!! An authentic local joint (that also have Americanized food if you are into it).

But you know a place is authentic when they have white pepper on the table. You can’t have southern Chinese food without some good white pepper!

My go to dish is always soup noodle with roasted duck and I get it with the wide rice noodles. So yummy! And it has vegetables in it for some health value.

I speak Chinese with the workers here and they are all so lovely. I love my people 🥰. Yummy food and kind souls.

And did I mention… very affordable prices? I hope that gentrification will never hit this place.

BE AWARE; This restaurant was closed on January 6 2025 for a number of days by the NYC Department of health due to MAJOR food safety and heath violations, including mice, roach and sewer fly infestation; inadequate cleansing of food preparation areas; inadequate temperature in food preparation; stained, unclean clothing worn by food handlers; inappropriate storage of pestisides and the manager not possessing a certificate of extermination.

These violations show a grossly egregious lack of any regard for the health and well being of their customers. Therefore, as former frequent customers, as well as our neighbors, will cease doing any business with this restaurant, regardless of whether they corrected these serious violations.

I’ve been coming here for years, usually for lunch when working in the area. Nice selection of lunch specials, great food and excellent service. They hit the mark with the Cantonese style noodle soups, my favorites are the Noodle with Roast Duck Soup and the Noodle & Cantonese Wonton. But my favorite is in their Vegetable section and is NOT vegetarian (neither am I, obviously). I know many of you meat eaters out there don’t even look at the Vegetable section of a Chinese restaurant menu, so don’t miss ordering the Dry Sautéed String Bean with Meat. The string beans are dry wok’d with salty and spicy ground pork. And it’s the perfect amount of spiciness, wow! Really, everything is delicious, you can’t go wrong. Highest recommendation.

Sometimes you just want hassle free, NYC style, inexpensive Chinese food in a no no no frills setting. Mee is that kind of spot. It moved out of my neighborhood when Covid shut it down, and I missed the roast soy chicken noodle soup that got me through the winter. I am happy as a clam that I can make a quick trek down to the East Village for a hot steamy bowl. The waiter is the best, he remembered me and what I liked. I've had other dishes as well but I mostly recommend the roast meet noodle soups. The duck soup is very good. Like I said, quick cheap eats, satisfying and good noodle soups!

Jag hade inte insett att Mee’s Noodle House hade flyttat hit och bestämde mig för att stanna till och prova det. Jag hade varit på deras gamla plats i Sutton Place och kom ihåg att maten var underbar. 

Jag åt räkor/skaldjursdumplings och räkor Lo Mein och båda var jättegoda. Klimparna var fyllda med en läcker räkblandning och ångkokades perfekt. De ger dig också många av dem. 

Till huvudrätten hade jag Shrimp Lo Mein som var fylld med perfekt tillagade räkor och massor av grönsaker. Det var också en trevlig portionsstorlek. Perfekt för att dela.

Seafood dumplings var ångad och fyllda med kammusslor och räkor och det var den trevligaste kombinationen av smaker och var perfekt kokta. De serverade sex plumpa dumplings med en kryddig sojasås.

De färska Lo Mein nudlarna smakade som om de bara var gjorda och kokta för mig. De var fasta och perfekt kokta med sautad räkor och bok choy i en sojasås. Allt var så friskt och kvaliteten på ingredienserna visade med varje bit. Hela måltiden var underbar.

Tjänsten var mycket vänlig och alla var mycket välkomnande.

Wow, vilken stor liten Sök! Utmärkt service i enkel men bekväm miljö. Maten var enastående och mer än tillräckligt för oss att äta!

Lunch specialerbjudanden här är fantastiskt. Soppa eller äggrulle, entree och ris. Maten är utmärkt. Hade grillat fläsk med stekt ris. Det enda klagomålet är att wonton-soppen har en köttbasbas, inte en kycklingbas. Konstig smak. Min fru hade kyckling och aubergine. hennes favorit. Vi har åkt hit i år och välkomnar den nya inredningen.

Blixt snabbt och friskt! Förvånad denna plats har inte högre betyg! Vi beställde leverans via Yelp kl 6:30 på en söndag och det sa ett 30 - 45 minuters leveransfönster. Det måste ha kommit hit inte ens 10 minuter senare! Super snabbt, varmt och friskt! Vi beställde crispy sesam kyckling utan krydda, fläsken lo mein och söt och sur kyckling plus de vanliga fria sidorna av vitt ris. $ 39 och visade sig vara mer än tillräckligt för att dela mellan 2 barn och 2 vuxna.

Mina rumskamrater och jag bestämde mig för att äta här ikväll, men trots några dåliga erfarenheter med leveransmän i det förflutna frågade efter mer av ett tips. Vi går in och sitter omedelbart. En av oss beställer General Tso kyckling, en annan Sweet & Sour, och sedan Lo Mein. När maten kommer, kommer den herre som tog vår order, säger "General Tso" och placerar den framför min rumskamrat som hade beställt Sweet & Sour chicken. Han lägger också en andra order till den person som faktiskt beställde den. När min rumskamrat berättar servitören att hon beställde söt och sur kyckling, sa servitören "Nej äta det, det är" bra "och går bort. Vi satt alla där med käftarna på golvet och skrattade åt den interaktion vi just haft. Priset på maten var inte nära vad du får, och inte heller tjänsten.

Vi fortsätter att drömma om Singapore Mei Fun-skålen. Kvaliteten och smaken är fortfarande gott efter 25 år. Som vår dotter säger "restaurangen bortskämda oss, de är nummer ett maker av Singapore Mei Fun". Du kommer inte bli besviken.

Stor smakande mat. Aubergine och räkor nudelsoppa var min favorit, men bara om allt vi beställde var utsökt. Tjänsten var snabb och vänlig.

Mee Noodle Shop har många val av nudelsoppa, saut ed nudlar, risrätter och en mängd olika val av kött, skaldjur och grönsaker. Fisk och skaldjur med ängelhår nudelsoppa är min favorit!

Tjänsten är snabb. Mat är gott. Atmosfären är inte dålig. Prissatt rätt!
