Corner restaurant with outdoor seating. It's not the place to go if you need to get away from the heat, but most seats are shaded. They offer freshly fried cod balls. Quite tasty! We also tried the 2 pastries, shrimp and cheese with sun dried tomatoes. The shrimp was the better of the two. The caipirinha tasted like a margarita.

The Blue Peacock is a traditional Brazilian Bar and restaurant. It has two outlets basically opposite to each other. This one is the number one. The service is superfriendly and quick. We came here for lunch and had the shrimps in catupiry as well as the beef with onions. It is important to know that each dish is actually for 2 persons. So, the food was plentyful, freshly prepared and absolutely good. Highly recommended! Enjoy!

A great place to eat traditional Brazilian cuisine in Copacabana (not a tourists trap) a lot of locals here, small but with super high quality food. The Pataniscas are a MUST

This was recommended to me by one of the locals. Specifically the fish was highly praised, but I went with something cheaper.

Most of the staff didn't speak English but I was able to show and pick some of the items for tasting.

Overall it was quite good. I went with Caldinho de Feijāo and  Pastéis camarāo both were excellent.

Though Caldinho de Feijāo comes with oil and it can get very spicy, so beware

Lovely traditional food in a place full of locals.

Service is reasonably fast considering how busy it is but no one really speaks English nor there is a menu in English so just be prepared to order based on Google images/ translate if you don’t understand the names 😊

We had two drinks and few dishes and paid less than R$ 100 so definitely value for money.

O Azul är öppen från klockan tolv till midnatt dagligen, och är en kontant enbart bohemsk bar som är populär bland lokalbefolkningen och turister för billiga öl och hjärtliga mellanmål inklusive risrätter och smakliga bakverk som erbjuds till låga priser på en uteplats utomhus. Tjänar Rio de Janeiro i över sextio år, långa väntningar förväntas under Copacabanas livliga säsong, platser tas på en första-till-första-server-bas, bara en två - topp tom på 13 h 30 som servrar hustle fram och tillbaka mellan restaurangen och ett kök som verkar ligga i en byggnad bakom den. Att erbjuda menyer på portugisiska, även om lite kännedom om det brasilianska köket går långt med sådana kortfattade erbjudanden, var det med Mineral Water hällde att fyra plattor kom snabbt, Patanisca till R $ 3. 70 vardera ett bonafidavtal för Salt Cod vispad krämig och stekt gyllene i smet utan potatis. Besökte två gånger i Brasilien, en gång på kvällen där det var så rammat att vi bara kunde få ett litet bord runt kanten för att njuta av öl och snacks. Det andra besöket var mer planerat och vi kom till en sen lunch där vi kunde ta ett bord. Torskens scones är verkligen läckra med mer av en fast struktur och torskinnehåll än torskbollar. Fiskpastaen var också smaskiga, ett par kalla lokala öl åtföljde den avslappnade middagsupplevelsen.

Vi kom hit på rekommendation från en vän som hade gjort internetforskning om den bästa brasilianska upplevelsen i Copacabana. Vi satte oss utanför som en grupp utlänningar, blandade i sömlösa med resten av lokalbefolkningen, på en rad utomstående bord, med i sevärdheter och ljud av en, som jag antar, är en typisk måndagskväll i Copacabana! Restaurangen blir ganska upptagen efter 8 pm, med Cariocas glad att stå utanför, dricka sina lokala Chopp öl i små glasögon. Från deras mycket hemtrevliga meny av mestadels kötträtter serveras med ris, bönor och potatis, valde vi deras mycket raved om putanescas (torskfiskkakor) och räka risotto. Även om vi inte var alltför angelägna om den överdrivet generösa risdelen som serverades med massor av små läckra räkor, älskade vi absolut de fräscha stekt torskkakorna, fyllda med övervägande fräsch fluffig fisk och serveras med en picante chiliolja. Jag beställde en sida av plantain frites (rustika tjocka hemlagade pommes frites, som inte var oljiga alls) och en liten sida av vit ost, som jag doused med potter av picante olja! Stämningen är livlig, ölflödenna och matpriserna är extremt rimliga. Ett måste - gör boteca erfarenhet i Rio! !

Vi var inte särskilt hungrig och tänkte på att följa TripAdvisor rekommendation. Så snart vi kom dit var det fullt av människor. Wow, massor av människor gillar att åka dit för typiska drycker och mat. Det är verkligen en typisk plats där du kan vara i kontakt med lokalbefolkningen. Tjänsten är inte bra, men de är snälla människor.

Enkel bar belägen i ett gathörn men det flesta sittplatser ute vid plastmöbler på trottoaren. Hade ett bra utbud på öl och till mycket bra priser. Snabb och effektiv service. Har även mat för den som önskar det.

Om du åker till Rio, föreslår jag att du ska passera på Pavao Azul efter en morgon på stranden. De har den kallaste ölen i Rio! Bra priser, unga och trevliga människor, denna bar visar utlänningarna carioca livsstil. Att äta: Börja smaka på Patanisca - en liten stekt tårta med torsk. Fantastiskt! Be till servitören peppar av huset. Till lunch (före 4 pm) har de speciella rätter med kampanjpriser. Jag föreslår: Risoto av räkor eller milanese nötkött, ris, svarta bönor och pommes frites. (runt R $ 22,00 varje platta) och det är för två personer.

Båda kom med massor av lokala delikatesser som var helt underbara, och vi skulle varmt rekommendera en resa här för en riktig smak av Brasilien innan ett besök på Copacabana Beach.

Kom här med våra brasilianska vänner till lunch en dag och åtnjöt flera öl och massor av små rätter och älskade verkligen det. Maten var fantastisk. Jag älskade pastellerna och min man älskade camarao och bolinhos de bacalhau. Jag skulle också rekommendera yucca pommes frites, så bra! Vi kom tillbaka en gång till lunch och beställde samma små rätter eftersom vi älskade dem så mycket. Det är nästan alltid packat så var beredd att vänta eller stå.
