Crate Cafe has this laid back and very chill ambience with its large tables and benches that encourage sharing and forging new friendships. Hearty breakfasts and healthy juices are enjoyed either outdoors or indoors. For a power brunch to last the whole day, I recommend either the Barber or the Brekkie Plate. Generous servings at wallet friendly prices! Will definitely be back! :)

I recently visited Crate Cafe and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The menu selection at Crate Cafe is truly awesome, as they cater to different dietary requirements. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, or have any other dietary restrictions, you'll find plenty of delicious options to choose from.

One thing that stood out to me was their great selection of sweet treats. From decadent cakes to mouthwatering pastries, they have something to satisfy every sweet tooth. I couldn't resist trying their homemade desserts, and they did not disappoint.

The service at Crate Cafe was also top-notch. The staff was quick and friendly, making sure that all my needs were met. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to answer any questions I had. Their warm and welcoming attitude added to the overall positive experience.

Another notable aspect of Crate Cafe is the abundance of tables. There are heaps of tables available, although it's worth mentioning that most of them are communal. If you don't mind sharing a table with other patrons, you'll have no trouble finding a spot to sit and enjoy your meal.

If you're considering a visit to Crate, you might want to think twice. While the restaurant has a vibrant presence on social media, the experience in person leaves much to be desired.

Upon arrival, be prepared to wait in line for about 20 minutes to then be able to get a seat, at a shared table. The staff's communication can also be puzzling; we were informed that our table was booked, despite the fact that reservations aren’t accepted. It was frustrating to see others being seated there without any clarity and when confronted the staff he then replied with “ what you want me to do”.

As for the food, the wait time of 40 minutes for something as simple as eggs on toast felt excessive, food is blunt, no taste no seasoning.. like literally not even salt and pepper.. I had to add some to be able to eat it… it definitely didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Overall, Crate seems to prioritize its trendy image over delivering a seamless dining experience. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a relaxed meal with good service, there are definitely better options out there. Bali is filled with great restaurants and good food. I wouldn’t recommend it based on my visit..

Went there for breakfast and the place was blasting.
Getting there: as we were staying in canggu, we walked there and it took us almost 16 minutes to get there.
Entry: no booking is needed.
Ambiance: cool vibe, open space, big tables for sharing. So just find a place within an occupied table, and ask to sit with the people occupying the table.
Food and beverage: you will have to order as soon as you arrive. There was a small queue but took us less than 5 mins to reach the cashier. We didn’t know what to order so we asked for the best sellers. The waiter recommended 2 savory and 1 sweet option. While the portions are big, the food tasted very bland and lacked flavor. Our poached eggs and avocado needed salt and probably other spices. The tomato and poached egg has so much garlic. The juices were good.
Conclusion: not worth a visit as you can probably find other restaurants with better breakfast options.

Great spot with amazing food and amazing staff! We came to try it out for breakfast one day and loved it so much we then came every day for the next 3 days we were in Canggu 😍

This restaurant is perfectly set up for Bali’s tropical weather, with a menu as accommodating as their venue. They offer a wide range of food and beverages, all well-suited for the hot Bali climate.

I initially went there at 3:00 PM just to grab a drink, but the food looked so good that I ended up ordering a couple of sides. Every calorie burned and dollar spent was well worth it! The food is not only delicious but also safe to eat. They even use safe ice, so no worries about Bali Belly. The drinks are served in generously sized glasses and are just as refreshing.

The staff are professional, and there’s plenty of seating space. The restaurant is located close to the Canggu art markets and several other well-reputed restaurants.

The place is surrounded by nature, with plenty of trees that offer a cool, comforting breeze.

If you’re in Canggu, make sure to add this place to your “must-visit restaurant” list!

I had breakfast here in a table in the garden. The food was good. I had the first experience with a vegan hamburger. But it is okay. Of course, I could feel the patty is different from real meat. But it is not bad.

The atmosphere is cosy with rice field view. It looks a good place to have breakfast, read a book and / or work.

Road next to the restaurant is not busy in the morning. Not noisy.

Long black is strong to me. I asked hot water to add. It became fine.

Employees were kind and provided good service.

Overall, I recommend this restaurant.
