A charming, French-style cozy spot. The food was delicious—I highly recommend the grilled sausage with Aligot and the onion soup. We arrived at 7 PM, and by 8 PM, the place was bustling. It's best to call ahead to secure a table.

I had the best onion soup ever, but there's only one restaurant staff who did bad
attitude to us. There're two, older staff of man was very kind and brought
english menu but the younger man staff kept making fun of us. When I asked him to see menu he said menu? menumenumenu? many times and take the dishes down with big noise and handled roughly.
He kept unfaithful attitude to us and even when I pay money he said something in French which I couldn't understand and he said to me huh? with mad face.
After getting out of restaurant he stil glared at us.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was so nice, and food was very good. But we're so disappointed to have such an experience with him and it's not good for restaurant.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Bistrot des Vosges. We arrived without a reservation and were luckily seated immediately. I would recommend booking though in advance if you don’t want to wait. We ordered the French onion soup and it lives up to its hype of being the best in Paris. We ordered le canard and l’entrecote as well which were absolutely amazing. Best steak I’ve had in Paris so far and cooked perfectly. The waiters were kind and funny, even complimenting my (poor) attempt at French. We would recommend this restaurant.

Had French onion soup at 5 different places and this was by far my favorite. The sausage dish came with cheesy mashed potatoes and a garlic butter to add in. Very much enjoyed the meal and the server was very nice and kindly spoke English

I have visited this place 3 times over the 5 day stay, and tried many different dishes. Hard to say what's the best, most of foreign customer are here to try their very traditional onion soup. I do not want to say that it is not good, but do not limit yourself - go beyond and try traditional  sosuage with aligot (amazing with garlic) or be brave and try onglet (beef inside skirt) cooked raw.
Do not limit yourself with creme brulee (fantastic!) and try other deserts as well: tartine Tatin for instance. Be open for experiments with the offal sausage (andouilette) or another Aveyron specialities.
Order with closed eyes or ask for recommendations - the staff is nice and very helpful unless you are not trying to show you know everything.
Follow their wine suggestions to have perfect composition of tastes.
