Cool to look around but because of the location there's a lot of places that sell poorer quality food for premium prices. It is what it is. Very central so very expensive. Lots of places do have great food! Just got to find the right ones.

Otherwise known as Zeedijk, it's a really cool little street filled with a large variety of different Asian restaurants and shops. There's also a Temple there we were able to go into for a minute for the Chinese New Year. Nothing special, we were in and out in minutes of just the front room, but still cool to see.

Really enjoyed it.
Many shops, and restaurants of all styles of dishes, dim sum, northern and southern style, they have it all.  The big thing is the food prices were much cheaper and the portions were large even for European standards.  Food were all delicious.
There is a temple in the middle of Chinatown and we visited it.

Perhaps I'm a bit biased since I am Chinese and have lived in this city for a number of years. Amsterdam's Chinatown is far from tourist trap! You just need to look around and do a bit of research on the best place to wine and dine and other activities. This area is truly great and worth a visit. Don't listen to anyone who says it's dirty and sleazy! Give it a try. You won't regret it. Note that the red light district runs in parallel to Zeedijk, the main street of Chinatown
