Going for birdwatching but get more than that. Everywhere mentioned about beware of the crocodile 🐊. I thought how can there be any crocodile in SG!! But I was three crocodiles 😆. But it’s safe for everyone. Good for walking and bird watching. Can sit at the eagle eye point and enjoy the breeze from the water. Great 👍

☘️🌿🌳 Years ago, we had an amazing time here at this Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.  My hubby and I walked the entire swamp for about 3 to 4 hours.

● We saw huge monitor lizards, crocodiles, unique birds, interesting flora and fauna. 🌿☘️ I urge people to come here to walk and exercise and also to take in the wonderful scenic views.

● The trail is very long and so you need to prepare for it. ✅️Wear good track shoes and have a water bottle with you.

➡️ Be careful if you spot crocodiles in the waters. 🌳🌿 All in all, this is a conserved swamp area and you would find it interesting here.

Went a bit later in the morning than planned and the walk was still cool! Literally and figuratively. As most of the walk was under the tree canopies, the temperature was much  cooler than expected, and is actually cooler than our usual walks at the East Coast park at this time. We managed to spot a crocodile and a variety of birds without too much effort. Smaller animals like lizards and squirrels also made their appearances.

Want the best chance to see some interesting wildlife? Get to the Kranji Way entrance and enter the reserve as soon as they open at 7:00am. You'll likely see bats in the open air buildings before entering the Mangrove Swamps. Look up in the rafters to see them hanging there. You may see a snake up there too. The Bats will zoom all around you but won't come too near.
Don't carry any plastic bags or the Monkeys will harass you. No plastic bags = No Monkey problems. You can watch  them and enjoy.
Walk slowly and scan left and right as you walk through the Marshes and Mangrove Swamps. Keep quiet and don't be the annoying person who talks or plays music on their phones. This gives you the best chance of focusing and spotting a crocodile.
Keep your eyes where you step and scan far ahead. You may luck out and see a Snake. I've seen a Spitting Cobra here. They like to sun themselves on the path. Especially in the morning.
I recently saw an Owl in Singapore for the first time at this reserve.
Just as delightful even though more common, are the Monitor Lizards and squirrels (I think they are squirrels?)
I can't leave out the remarkable variety of birds. I can't comment too much as I currently know very little about them yet.
Use bug spray or you will regret it.
