Me and my friends visited the gallery in September and it was nice little gateway from the rain. The gallery is well organised and there were some really interesting art pieces to see, but I feel like I expected a bit more from it ~ some parts felt rather empty, there were also some renovations being done, and I feel like building itself seemed cold, maybe due to the white colour which was all around us. 😊 But I really enjoyed the slight time-travel through art, as well as the photography exhibition. 🖼

Open spaces, interesting exhibition. Reasonable entrance fees, accessible for people in wheelchair and has some sights for blind people with brail descriptions and tactile 3D paintings.

This was a very enjoyable museum recommended by a friend who lives in Berlin. There are multiple small exhibits to explore downstairs with a range of subjects. When I went there was a very interesting photo exhibit, video room, large scale paintings, and a small mycelium house you could go into. Upstairs was more classic painting / photo focused with so much local history about Berlin tied into the artwork. It’s a lot to take in so be ready

Great, innovative exhibition space. Architecturally interesting, with two zigzagging staircases symbolizing freedom of movement and art interpretations, the Gallery is currently showing 100 years of Berlin in the context of art (also art in the context of Berlin during 1880-1980).  Quite a treasure trove.

Excellent permanent collection and special exhibition with a variety of art styles and themes. The accompanying texts for artwork and exhibition were well written and informative. I learned a lot about art throughout Berlin's history!

The museum is free on the first Sunday of every month. It was quite busy when I visited around 4pm but it was not overcrowded.
