A gastronomic jewel in the Val di Non. Nerina was highly recommended to us by Nely Weber of B&B Pra da Lares and what a great tip. This family restaurant was founded by Nerina and her Neapolitan husband in 1969 after returning from Munich where they had run a restaurant since the early ‘50’s. Their four children are all involved, Loredana and Mario in the kitchen, and Sandro as grande oste caring for guests in a manner that you rarely experience. It is the type of hidden gem that if you don’t know you would go right by without ever noticing. Inside, the dining room is right out of the 1970’s, complete with paintings and memorabilia. The wine display immediately catches the eye with artisanal producers such as Eugenio Rosi, Benevelli and Foradori. Every dish on the menu has its raison d’être and Sandro knows each producer and place of origin. The salumi are personally cured, delectable and without noticeable salt, wonderful! All of the pasta is homemade. The pork leg had been cooked over night at 85 degrees Celsius and finished in beer. It had an extraordinary lightness to it. The desserts were very good, but the big passion of the family is cheese. They have their own cheese ripening cellar. This is a restaurant not to be missed by any food, wine and cheese appassionato.

we had dinner at Nerina- we were alone with the host- owner, which aws lucky- we had all his attention... fascinating explenations, nice conversation, and above all- GREAT food!! highly reccomended!!
