We had a late/9:00 reservation that was SO hard to get…lots of people tried to walk in but it was booked.  This place has been in the same location since 1869 and they have definitely mastered their craft.  Their dishes, house red, deserts, and service were all top tier.  Most tender chicken I’ve ever eaten and the steak Florentine was so tasty that I ate almost all the fat too!!!!  Our waiter was great, quick, spoke great English, and funny.  Only about 6 tables and you might be at the same table with another couple.  It was great…we loved it.

great atmosphere. small restaurant, hand written menu, felt very authentically italian. pasta with tomato sauce, butter chicken and raspberry merengue dessert were heavenly. service was great and waiter alessio was so friendly. highly recommend, def going back.

the butter chicken here is a can’t-miss type dish. Absolutely incredible. Everyone serving here was very warm, and the food was impeccable. Get the meringue cake with wild strawberries!! It also cannot be missed. One of the best meals I had while in Italy. Bravissimo!

Go here! And get their 4 iconic dishes - chicken with butter sauce, Florentine steak, the artichoke pie, and the meringue dessert cake. Everything was absolutely delicious and they have perfected every dish.

One of our favorite restaurants in Florence. All dishes are prepared with love and care; delicious in their simplicity. We always feel very welcome, and the owner always takes good care of us, and other customers. Beautiful to sit outside while enjoy the sunset. Pro tip; ask for the lobster pasta ;-)!

The perfect final meal of an incredible trip! We had the pleasure of dining in their private courtyard and being served personally by Francesco, his lovely wife and incredible staff. Every single dish was prepared with love and was truly the cherry on top of this entire trip. I can't wait to go back someday! Thank you Francesco and all for such an amazing evening!

We had a nice dinner for 4 watching the beautiful Firenze sunset.
First we had as an entree a board of cheese with honey and it was incredible, the highlight of the evening.
For main dish I had seafood pasta and it was just normal, nothing outstanding.
Service was good.
Recommend to eat and watch the beautiful Firenze sunset.

My girlfriend and I spontaneously had dinner last night and it was FANTASICO. We are from Canada, and the waitress, we think Ivana, was SO friendly and charming, as was the gentleman server, who's name we can't recall (sorry).

The food was TERRIFIC (we had the specials of truffle pasta and pesto pasta) - the best meal we had. And a good price. But, for us the friendliness and charm of the staff really made the experience.

We can't recommend it enough, it was a real highlight.
