Beautiful island to spend a day, or a morning if you are in Cannes. It's great to go, have lunch and leave, as around lunchtime is when it gets really busy. L'Escale is a great place to have lunch.
You can't miss the fort, you're going to love it!!
Also, get a bit lost and find a quiet beach to spend some time away from the crowds.
Absolutely recommend it!!

The Island of Saint Marguerite near Cannes was a delightful surprise! Review Title: Disappointing Island Experience for Families

I recently visited this island with my family of five, and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. Our receptionist recommended this spot for swimming with kids, but it turned out to be quite the opposite.

Firstly, the ship company charged us 72 euros, which felt steep given the experience we had. The beach was incredibly rocky, making it difficult to swim or even enjoy the water. For families with children, this is especially problematic, as the rocky terrain is not safe for young ones.

Additionally, while the water appeared crystal clear, it was not inviting due to the dirt and debris present. The coastline is not well-maintained, which detracted from the overall beauty of the area. We found it hard to find a suitable spot to relax or play.

In summary, I would not recommend this island for swimming or a family day out. There are better options out there that are more family-friendly and enjoyable.

Magnifique petite  île préservée, à 15 minutes de bateau depuis le port de Cannes. Attention à l'affluence en saison. Nombreuses criques isolées, une forêt naturelle avec eucalytus et pins d'Alep, une zone ornythologique. Nous avons respecté toutes les consignes liées à l'environnement, ne pas fumer, ramasser tous les déchetS, être silencieux ... Mais cela n'a pas empêché le seul restaurant de mettre la sono à fond dans l'après-midi ... seul bémol de cette belle excursion.

Magnificent little preserved island, 15 minutes by boat from the port of Cannes. Be careful of the crowds in season. Numerous isolated coves, a natural forest with eucalytus and Aleppo pines, an ornithological area. We respected all the instructions related to the environment, no smoking, picking up all waste, being silent... But that didn't stop the only restaurant from turning up the sound system loudly in the afternoon.. . only downside of this beautiful excursion.

I wanted to try here since one of their staff greeted me ‘Bonjour!’ when I only walked past the restaurant last year. Because I believed their service would be genuine and warm….I was right! Young Italian staff has a bubbly personality and sense of humour. Italian beef tartare is scrumptious. Had the best time in Cannes here. Can’t wait for the next visit 😄

The service was spot-on—efficient and attentive, with the food arriving hot and fresh. The pizza here, in particular, deserves a special mention. It was miles ahead of any other I’ve had in Cannes, boasting traditional, authentic flavours that truly hit the spot. If you’re craving pizza, this is the place to go.

One suggestion would be to make the menu a bit more flexible for vegetarians, but overall, it was a very good experience. I’d highly recommend Tredici for anyone looking for an excellent Italian meal in Cannes.
