Had brunch here today. We are from New Orleans and adore The Waverly Inn. They are the nicest people. The service is killer and so is the food. This place is special. It’s unique. It tells its own story. The Waverly will give you an entirely new experience , and maybe a new tradition.

Great service and a lovely back patio. Food was good and classic fare for brunch. Shrimp cocktail was a bit veiny - should have gotten the crab cakes instead!

It's absolutely incredible. I had dinner with my eldest child while they were visiting from out of town. It is what might be considered a little pricy for many, but definitely worth it even if only for a special occasion.

Waverly Inn is falling off.

Our server was great. However, we both laughed out loud after he finished reciting the specials. It was a Caesar salad, seafood angel hair pasta, ribeye steak, steak with wine pairing, caviar service, and macaroni and cheese. It took him 2 minutes to recite all the ingredients and prices and we laughed. I said it should be its own menu and he said they chef forces them to keep them all as specials to seem more exclusive.

By the time he came to us, we had already read the regular menu so the specials should have been offered sooner… and on a menu.

We got the kale salad and 2 burgers. The kale salad was soaked in dressing. Like the leaves were heavy. And it was a thick dressing that took away any flavor. I got indigestion. From a kale salad. Let that sink in. And I could taste the salt on my tongue.

Once we finished the burgers came. A half pound of ground beef with a thin single slice of cheese: it felt like we were eating large undercooked meatballs. But it is “the Waverly” so we gave it a shot, not the worst in the city but I wouldn’t get it again.

And then the fries- imagine the bottom of a bag of potato chips being dropped into a deep fryer for 3 minutes too long. My fingers had oil on them so I switched to a fork. And they actually come to
The table in the frying container! It’s outrageous. No flavor besides oil, and comes w three drops of ketchup.

On top of it all, the host was dressed like he was hosting the Grammys and not looking up from his desk.  That’s probably fine for the few times Andy Cohen comes in, so the host can pretend that celebs still haunt this place and that’s how to be a good stealthy host. However, the real clientele is typically 3 to 4 different groups of 22-26 year olds white kids at  birthday parties. It’s like a chuck e cheese for kids who moved to the city. Loud and obnoxious and not a chill spot anymore. The host is chuck e!

Bring back the way it used to be. Until then, I hope this review helps.

Vi bor på Manhattan och många av våra favoritrestauranger har stängt genom åren. Vi är tacksamma att Waverly Inn fortfarande är öppet, och vi hoppas att det förblir så. Servicen var mycket mitten. Jag hade sagt att det var min födelsedag när jag hade bokat och de sa inte ens grattis på födelsedagen. Det var 3 januari och de sa inte gott nytt år. Mycket annorlunda än resten av New York där ställen har varit så trevliga och pratsamma och vi har kunnat berätta för dem att vi firar vårt nya engagemang. 

Burgaren var mycket fantastisk. Men det vegetariska urvalet har mycket att önska. Få inte rödbetssalladen som huvudrätt. Det är så mycket rödbetor. 

Restaurangen var verkligen vacker.

Älskar det här. Det har blivit min favoritrestaurang i hela NY. Stället är som en varm kram. Atmosfären och maten är fenomenal, och alla där är alltid så välkomnande och vänliga. Mina personliga favoriter är kycklingpajen och bananas foster. Jag var bara där igen i söndags, och det var lika fantastiskt som alltid.

En underbar smakupplevelse och fantastisk service i en vacker och anrik miljö.

Jag hade inte varit här på över tio år. Jag var lite orolig eftersom recensionerna indikerade att värdpersonalen och vänta personal var oförskämd och tacksam för ditt företag. Jag måste ha valt rätt dag för det här var inte min upplevelse. Carolyn var vår servitris och hon var väldigt trevlig och uppmärksam.

Maten är fortfarande bra och inredningen har verkligen all charm som när detta var platsen att vara.

Jag skulle uppmuntra människor att fortsätta ofta denna restaurang och njuta av alla nyanser som gjorde det bra att börja med.

Fem av oss åkte till nyår Även tidig kvällsmiddag och gick före midnatt för att åka hem och vänta på nyåret. Det var länge sedan jag varit där. Vi åkte för att det var en av de få platserna som inte tvingade en prix fix på dig. Det är en intressant plats eftersom det är verkligen härlig, mysig, historisk, personalen var mycket tillmötesgående och ganska trevlig. Maten var god, solid bara runt bra men jag kunde inte berätta vad jag åt, ingenting sticker ut där du säger att jag kommer tillbaka för att ha den här eller den maträtten. Med det sagt att jag skulle gå tillbaka för något speciellt, utanför stadens gäster etc. Jag känner exakt samma sätt om One if by Land.

Som titeln antyder, underbar kväll med kollegor och vänner. Rekommenderar starkt att boka tidigt för att undvika besvikelse.

Jag återvände nyligen hit igen efter många år. Jag hade ätit här flera gånger tidigare och alltid haft den pittoreska inställningen. Tyvärr var tjänsten lite ovänlig, men stek gjorde det för det. Jag skulle överväga att besöka igen för att se om tjänsten förbättras.

Denna pittoreska plats har en Michelin Star rating och är super söt inuti. Den gamla baren när du går in leder till en mörk matplats som öppnar upp till en bedårande uteplats. Rekommenderas starkt. Servitörer var vänliga och värd Joey var enastående!

Vi fick karamelliserad grapefrukt över ricotta ost som var helt fantastiskt! Deviled ägg var också bra och bagel och Lox var perfekt. Jag hade också Bloody Mary som var underbart kryddad med pepparrot!

Begränsad uteservering utifrån så kom dit tidigt om du vill ha ett uteservering.

Jag skulle gå tillbaka på en sekund!

Detta är i mitt närmaste närområde men jag hade inte varit på ett tag så när en vän kom till besök kom vi hit för brunch. Utsidan trädgården var full - inklusive en stor fest men inuti borden var tomma spara för en. Vi satt strax intill det enda andra ockuperade bordet medan alla andra bord inom synhåll var tomma.

Brunch erbjudanden är ganska typiska och vanligtvis prissatta (i. E. $ 17 för en kort stack)
Jag beställde den rostade betesallad med getost och carmelized pecannötter för $ 22. Det var ett skämt. Overcooked, tvättade - ute ser uppskärda betor, ungefär 1 kopp av en sorts smaklös, luddig grön, 1 matsked smulad getost och lika med 1/2 en hackad pecan. Allt drunknade i en alltför stark vinegarette. Jag åt det eftersom jag var hungrig och det fanns lite annat på menyn som appellerade till mig men jag kan inte säga att jag tyckte om det. Min vän beställde ägg Benedict ($ 23) som hon tyckte var mycket bra men sidan av hem frites var så undercooked det var inte ätbart.

Servitören ignorerade oss (och bordet bredvid oss) tills han levererade våra kontroller.
Till hans kredit men när de berättade potatis var undercooked (och uneaten) tog han hela entree av våra bill. Vi bad inte om det och blev mycket surprized med tanke på likgiltigheten som visas under hela måltiden.

Trädgården är underbar i det varma vädret och i kallare månader skulle baren vara en trevlig mysig plats för en drink men maten var en stor besvikelse.

En av de bästa måltiderna jag någonsin har haft. Jag satt där och tänkte, "den här måltiden kostar mig en bunt" men jag bryr mig inte, det var så bra. Hade Brussel Sprouts som en sida, jag hatar Brussel Sprouts men dessa var utmärkt, de måste ha sauteed dem i enhörningsmörsmörsmör. Kan inte rekommendera denna plats mycket enougn

Mysig restaurang med mycket charm i väggarna. Trevlig personal. Vi åt burgare och scottish salmon med risotto. Båda väldigt goda.

Fun, lively, classic atmosphere.   Friendly service.  Fresh and delicious bread. A+  burata and tomatoes.  Great cured salmon.  The best char of my life.  Disappointing desert.  Do not come if you think you may need to use the restroom.
