Unquestionably, one of the best meals I've ever had. And to say the star of the show was a bowl of tomato soup, sounds ridiculous, but it is transcendent! I will forever dream about this bowl of soup and hope to one day be able to return for one more spoonful. It was unlike any bowl of tomato soup I've ever had. It was light and refreshing, and filled my body and soul with utter joy!
I do love a grilled salad, and the grilled iceberg lettuce with baked cod did not disappoint. The two elements with what initially appeared to be potato wedges, turned out to be light and flaky pastry. I may have licked my plate!
The struva with duck liver was crispy and savory, creamy and delectable. We had to stop ourselves from having just one, they are that good.
The friendly staff, the warm environment, and the unique and tasty cocktails made for a perfect final meal in Stockholm. And it's one of the reasons I'll be returning just as soon as I can. If there had been a cookbook in English with that soup recipe inside, I would have certainly brought that home with me to try my best at recreating those flavors. I highly recommend the Struva with duck liver, especially delightful when generously topped with Parmesan cheese! The thinly sliced raw beef with Jerusalem artichoke is also quite tasty and pairs well with the ground hazelnut. However, I would not recommend the ravioli as it doesn't match the authentic Italian style; the filling is bland, and the wrap is not al dente at all, and easily breaks apart. The pork belly is average—good, but nothing surprising.

We had a great dinner here. Service was amazing - really warm, attentive and personable. Soda pop cocktail also really nice (my husband says it's the best cocktail he's ever had). This was such an unforgettable culinary experience, a perfect combination of flavours, mixing of ingredients , coupled with exquisite presentation. We were a group of three who ordered various dishes, all shared which maximised our ability to try as many dishes as possible. Every dish WOW’ed us.

Hyped by the recommendations online and the great rating on Google I was really excited to try out this seemingly high class restaurant.
And yes, on the surface everything appeard to be perfect. The location is designed very stylishly and classy, the staff is well trained and accommodating, the cocktails are delicious (!) and the presentation of the food is very inviting.

But were it failed for me was the actual food itself, the flavours, the most important part about a restaurant.

As recommended I ordered 1 dish from each of the 4 groups (snack, starter, main, dessert).

As a snack I went for the signature hasselback potatoes. As mentioned the presentation was delightful and I had high hopes for these ones so you can imagine my disappointment when I bit into the first one and tasted... barely anything. The potatoes were cold (I guess that's a choice) hard and chewy and the only flavour came from the sour cream.
I thought maybe the chef just had a bad day but the few low-rating-reviews on here agree with me so I am not the only one.

Next the lemon cured mackerel.
I could kind of taste the idea behind the dish but even for me as a salt lover this dish was almost inedible because it was so salty. I know a lot of people who couldn't have finished it.

As my main I chose the pork chop which tasted alright but not special and the mix of different ingredients didn't work together very well for me.

The dessert was good but you can't really mess up ice cream and berries.

I really don't know if I caught a bad day, if my taste works differently from most reviewers or if everyone simply thinks they have to give 5 stars because it's a posh restaurant with fancy looking and sounding food.

Very disappointing and not worth the money (except for the cocktails!).

Honestly, my boyfriend and I tried a few other Michelin places in Stockholm and nothing beats Nour. The Japanese Swedish combination was so different yet perfect. We would rate each dish for fun during dinners and we never goto a place where every single dish on the menu was a 9+/10 (except here).

My experience of every single dish in the 9-course dinner was: “what in the world is this!??” “I didn’t know this combination of flavors existed,” and the “how is this so incredibly delicious!?”

I’ve been to 34 countries, ate all different cuisines, and went to many 1-Michelin star restaurants, and Nour is now at the very top of my all time favorite list. I could say it’s the most deserving of all 1 star places I’ve been to.

The flavor and ingredient combinations were outstanding, creative, and delightful. The photos and how the food look don’t even do it justice. Every bite was a puzzling burst of delight in your mouth. No exaggeration at all.

We had mixed alcoholic and non-alcoholic pairing, and we actually preferred non-alcoholic beverages. I supposed the bartender just had to be extra creative when they can’t rely on alcohol. They felt like drinking delicious cocktails that are complementary sauces to the dishes.

Service was also excellent. The staff created the atmosphere like we we’re being served by master craftsmen with how they explain the dishes and drinks. It was polished and refined, but not too posh or stuffy.

If you’re in Stockholm, this is a must. If you can afford it, just book it.

“Hi max, and welcome to our apartment!”
Those were the first words I was greeted with as I entered the doors to Nour. It really summarized the experience well, as it felt like I was welcome into someone’s very neat and luxurious home.

Chef Sayan Isaksson creates his own modern take on classic Japanese dishes,  but does so with local, Nordic produce, which clearly indicates Nour’s focus on sustainability.

At the time of my visit (November 2023), Nour offered 2 set menus of either 5 or 9 courses, but I hear they’ve now started with a 3 course menu as well. In terms of drinks, they offer a full drink pairing, hybrid pairing or alcohol free pairing.

Sipping a pre dinner cocktail while enjoying some beautiful snacks, I decide to go for the 9 course menu and the hybrid drink pairing. Hats off to sommelier Samuel for a great Cinema Old Fashioned to start off with, perfect start to a great evening!

One by one the dishes arrive, and do so at a comfortable pace. As with many Japanese dishes, the foundation is simple, yet packed with a depth of flavor, and the same goes for the dishes served at Nour. I have to especially mention the octopus tsukemen, which was the highlight of the menu for me. It was made even better by the sour beer that was served along with it and truly made it a masterful combination of flavors!

The interiors are minimalist, but beautiful, and the walls have modern art being displayed. My only feedback is that they didn’t use more of the space that they have. The whole evening was spent in the dining hall, while there is also a lounge where it would have been lovely to enjoy the petit fours. I know this is done sometimes, but I’m confused as to why that wasn’t a thing during my visit.

The visit came to a perfect end when I spotted my favorite umeshu on the menu, a perfect drink to have with the petit fours!

Wonderful experience where each dish was obviously very thought out and carefully constructed. Everything tasted great (shaved ice seemed a little out of place to be served during winter, to be honest).

Some small delays between the dishes and seating turned out to be a bit over 3 hours.

Nonetheless, the food was great and I would very much recommend it!

We had the nine course tasting menu with our own choice of drinks.

Exceptional food, creatively and beautifully presented. The drink options were excellent and any suggestions by the sommelier were well received.

The service was welcoming, friendly and attentive.

For a high quality restaurant like this the atmosphere was laid back and relaxing.
