The rooms are cute and clean and the room service is quick and efficient. The Nordic breakfast is delicious and offers a great variety of foods, although I wish there were more fruits.

The best part? The price is reasonable and the hotel is conveniently located. You can easily walk to the centre, but if you’re not a fan of walking, there’s a tram station right in front of the hotel entrance.

Nothing short of excellent! I really enjoyed my 4 night stay in late February 2025. A beautiful hotel at very affordable prices. Bed was super comfortable, the room had just enough space, loved the shower and hair dryer was also in bathroom. The breakfast buffet was amazing! You had everything you could possibly want! My recent stay at this hotel (February 12-16) was nothing short of exceptional.  Perfect for leisure travelers, this hotel offers a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to Helsinki's city center.  I was particularly impressed by the quiet location; while trams occasionally passed by, the noise was minimal and didn't disrupt the overall tranquility. The hotel boasts a modern design and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home.  Breakfast was a definite highlight, with a delicious spread to start the day.  The bathroom amenities were also of great quality.  While I didn't get a chance to explore all the amenities, I did enjoy the hotel's restaurants. For the quality and location, Hotel Ax offers exceptional value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Helsinki.

Great arty hotel. Amazingly responsive to needs of a family of 5 (we had intended for 3 kids in one (corner) room and adults in the adjacent one).
Didn’t make up the beds to match that expectation so we ended up splitting the kids up but worked out overall.
My 15 year old son rated the buffer breakfast as “best buffet breakfast ever”. It was good.
Reception staff were super helpful.

Walking distance from harbour, tram and metro station near by to go everywhere. Great breakfast (with Fairtrade coffee! 🤩), cool interior, very comfy bed and I loved that the TV was hidden behind a courtain in my room. Was missing a comfortable working desk in the room, but shared facilities have plenty of room to work in.  Will stay again!
