I liked the experience! Service is not the usual, which can be fun. It feels authentic. The pizzas are okay, but they are bigger/heavier than usual, so watch out for how much you order (maybe order small one?). Make a reservation: in our case, we went there to give our name, and came back an hour later for dinner since it is not possible to take away.

As a recommendation from a local, who explained beforehand that Sicilian pizza is different, that they use whole grain and the crust is thicker etc, we went to Calvino twice. Did not book in advance, had to wait about 15m to be seated and another 15 for the pizza. As we stayed in the counter top area at the entrance, I cannot really rate the interior. The Rianata pizza was delicious, indeed salty as others mentioned, but I guess it was because of the baked Pecorino and anchovies. I loved the taste, the crust and the serving, all cut in cubes in front of us.

Finally, for me, a simple tourist, I found the staff and their story very charming. The place is run by a Calvino, a grumpy looking man who does everything still with a pen and notebook. Inside the visible oven area, his son and other employees. Staff was ok, like I would expect in an old Trapani pizzeria, not too fakely polite as in a McDonalds... patience is the keyword, I got everything I came in for at the end of the day, which was a good pizza and a cheap dinner.
I paid 9 for a medium Rianata and 6.5 for a small Diavola. No coperto, as I was not seated.

Note that I was there end September, so I might have avoided  the annoyances of others regarding waiting time.

It was a bit scary to get there because the road is tight, not fully built and barely lit.
I recommend going in a Jeep or 4 wheeler.

The place is really nice! The view is everything. The music wasn’t my cup of tea, but they kept alternating from Arabic to Pop to Old Disco songs and then eventually to deep house, so it got a bit better.

There’s a minimum charge of 20$ per person, which is fair. The drinks and food were good! We had a Gin Basil pitcher and some shots, and I tried the chicken tenders which were pretty tasty.

I recommend it, the scenic view is definitely worth it!

I planned my birthday party there, the view is to die for, the food and drinks are really good, the music and vibe are great. The service is high quality and the staff are very nice. The road to get there was a bit bumpy but the journey is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!!!!
