Friendly staff helped me picked out a live lobster, per his recommendation, I ordered it steamed on one half and grilled on the other, great idea! Fresh seafood skillfully cooked. The finished dish was phenomenal.

Grilled flounder was also delicious, moist and flaky meat, yummy!

Very nice fish restaurant. Its next to the fish market .
We had fish soup, oysters, mussels and fish and chips. All were 5 star quality! Not the cheapest place, but normal for Norway. Super friendly service. The waiter was a mature gentleman and we was superb! Highly recommended place!

We had lunch at this restaurant. Their first question was that if we would like to get still or tap water. Freshly baked bread was the starter. Both the water and the bread was included in the price. The fish was so fresh and delicious that we booked a table for the next day. It was the most tasty fish I have ever had. We also tried the cheese platter, which included 3 kind of cheese. The staff was also really kind. It was an awesome experience to eat here.

You have to try the aurora salmon!!! I've never had such an amazing salmon in my life! So fresh and lightly seasoned plus it's huge portion! It is pricey I have to say but worth paying for it. Mussels were so nice and the sauce that comes with it is just perfect. We had a little bit of trouble with the service but all good.

A fancy glassed restaurant that has a full bar and a wall of wines. That not only serves the seafood. They sell the seafood as well. When I went into the back of the open kitchen you had a wide variety of fish, clams, shrimp, oyster. They had big king crabs in tanks, and in a separate tank, they had big Norwegian lobsters. Everything was brightly colored and neatly stacked.
They also serve a whale that you’re allowed to eat when it gets overpopulated in the ocean.
If you walk in from the side, it’s the second place in the corner.
The bathrooms are located on the outside and you need a code to get inside to use them.

Velkomsten på Beckerwyc House ved innsjekk var av den hyggelige sorten. Kan nesten ikke huske at jeg har følt meg så velkommen på et hotell. Og derfra og inn ble det et meget flott opphold på det nye og flotte hotellet i Bekkjarvik.

Rommet hadde alt man kan be om: Meget god og myk seng. God dusj. Godt renhold. Godt internett. Fin utsikt. Det lille ekstra med badekåper og gode såper og hudkrem. Rett og slett en følelse av luksus.

Skal jeg trekke noe ned så er det vasken på badet. Sikkert en god idé på tegnebrettet, men når vasken er svart, flat og med liten helling, så blir såperester og ikke minst tannkrem/spytt liggende igjen svært godt synlig. Ikke veldig lekkert.

Vi hadde full meny med 15 retter på Mirabelle som var helt magisk. Og det har jeg skrevet en anmeldelse om på et par andre steder på internett.

Frokosten spiste vi nede på Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri. Den holdt like god standard som alt annet vi opplevde på Austevoll. Ikke den største buffeten jeg har sett, men alt virket gjennomtenkt og av god kvalitet. Med den lune leverposteien som et absolutt høydepunkt! Og en annen ting som var greit var at vi fikk oppleve de to helt ulike stedene. Det moderne oppe på Beckerwyc og det gamle og tradisjonelle nede på gjestgiveriet. Det gjorde oppholdet komplett.

The welcome at Beckerwyc House upon check-in was of the pleasant variety. I can hardly remember ever feeling so welcome in a hotel. And from there on in it was a very nice stay at the new and beautiful hotel in Bekkjarvik.

The room had everything you could ask for: Very good and soft bed. Good shower. Good cleaning. Good internet. Nice view. The little extra with bathrobes and good soaps and skin cream. Simply a feeling of luxury.

If I have to draw something down, it's the sink in the bathroom. Certainly a good idea on the drawing board, but when the sink is black, flat and with a slight slope, soap residue and, not least, toothpaste/saliva remain very visible. Not very tasty.

We had the full menu with 15 dishes at Mirabelle which was absolutely magical. And I have written a review about that on a couple of other places on the internet.

We ate breakfast downstairs at Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri. It maintained the same good standard as everything else we experienced at Austevoll. Not the biggest buffet I've seen, but everything seemed well thought out and of good quality. With the warm liver paste as an absolute highlight! And another thing that was good was that we got to experience the two completely different places. The modern up at Beckerwyc and the old and traditional down at the guest house. It made the stay complete.
