We went there for our last night dinner in Gdańsk. We checked the
menu and prices beforehand so we were not surprised by the cost. We started off with a complimentary dumpling and home made bread. Followed by a salad which we were sharing. We enjoyed it to the last bite. The meat dumplings were heavenly- compliments of the chef. We ordered surf and turf medium cooked and it was done to perfection. At the end we shared an enormous dessert - meringue. It was so huge that we did not think we could eat it, but it was light and delicious, and we finished it in no time. The service was amazing from the start to finish. We had a magical evening thanks to the amazing food and service at the True restaurant. We will always remember Gdańsk fondly because of it.

Very very good place to spend time in Gdansk. Food is amazing, no doubts. I really enjoyed buckwheat crisps that have been served together with scallops. And wine, wine list is outstanding as well together with the cocktails.
What we have not been happy with: the price. It was quite high vs. what we have expected and get. Also, despite a very good service, we were surprised that waiter included 10% by default. We would of course give tips, but it was upsetting to see we have not been asked… in this type of the restaurants it should not be that way in our opinion.

Best service I have ever had - and I have tried plenty of Michelin restaurants in Europe! This is one of the few good places still out there who gives worldclass service and puts the customer first. Let me tell you why.

Veery polite and professional staff who greet you directly at the door and gives that little extra personal welcome. They "see" you directly and dont have to wait.

The food was very good, we had surf n turf and the fried octopus and tenderloin is amazing! Recommend!

During dinner we accidently dropped a knife on the floor and the within 2 seconds (!) several staff discretly and professional took care of it and replace it immediatley. You could tell that they wanted us to have a smooth and pleasant dinner. This is just a concrete example of the small important details!

If you eat big steak they cut and slice it (professionally) next to your table, giving it a very luxourous feeling.

The best part was that they had seen (on their own iniative)  that we celebrated 40 year birthday. They had figured it out by looking at the date of birth info you fill in on the booking!!
They totally surprised us with an Amazing cake! I mean...can you imagine - we had Michelin star chefs making a cake especially for us?! Wow! Thats a memory! We are so thankful for this gesture! Smiled all way back home!

There is plenty more to say but this is the Best service I have ever had. Extra thanks to Adriana who was our waitress and superlovely and competent!!

We celebrated our anniversary at Restaurant True, and it was truly special! I had an amazing steak that was cooked just right, while my wife enjoyed the sea resume, which she raved about.

The service was fantastic and made the night even better. We were surprised by a starter we didn’t know was coming, and the potato soup we ordered was so delicious!

To top it off, the staff treated us to a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in this Michelin-starred restaurant.

If you’re looking for a great meal and a memorable night, we definitely recommend Restaurant True!

Top of the top restaurant.
Presentation and execution at highest level. The sea food plate for two was generous and excellent quality and variety. Great choice of finest wines.
