Our family got the ribeye and New York strip cuts with vegetables sides, everything was made to the temperature we wanted, if you don’t want it to get over cooked, ask for the steaks to be taken off the black rock they arrive on. Seasoned and cooked well. They have a nanny service that provides different toys and activities for the kids to play with at the table to keep them entertained, which was super nice free of cost, just what you wish to tip. Desserts were to die for, my favorite was the cheese cake with fruit. We also did a pitcher of rosè with fruit cocktail , definitely worth it. We loved it!

If you’re in Mexico City definitely come here for a nice dinner! The service is fabulous and the steaks are wonderful! My husband brought me here for my birthday. The service is out of this world, our servers Alberto & Alejandro were very attentive and gave great recommendations about food and drinks! I wish we had restaurants like this one in the U.S.

Javier and Ricardo were awesome. They took such good care of us. Ordered the calamari, ribeye tips, tacos callajeros, and tiramisu. All the food was awesome, especially the ribeye and tiramisu (one of the best I've had). We tried cambalache and porfirios as well. All three have similar vibes, but I prefer the food and service at Sonora Prime.

Excellent Service, Great Food.   Been to the one on Reforma which was great also, and this one in the Hilton is as good.

Erick, Linares and Katia were our waitstaff team and all did a perfect job.

I asked Erick for his steak recommendation and after him asking my some questions he recommended the New York which was a Mexican steak not one of the USA versions, so he didn’t try to upsell and the steak was perfect for me.

My wife is vegetarian so she had the risotto which was good.

Had some Spanish wine which was also great.  Tiramisù desert was an interesting version and entertaining as Erick puts his hands on fire to serve it as it’s supposed to be like some molten lava.

It’s a bit on the higher end of price, but they do have burgers on the menu for about the same price we’d pay in Canada.  So if you want something special and maybe a good steak, Sonora is a nice option.

Our group of nine was warmly greeted by Javier, who initially seated us at a beautiful table. We decided to move as it was near the door and a bit breezy. Javier and the team, including our server Erick, Saul, and mixologist Carlos, provided outstanding service. Carlos even created a refreshing non-alcoholic passion fruit and kiwi drink that was delightful!

We started with a bottle of Casa Madero 3V wine (Cabernet, Merlot, Tempranillo), a light and smooth blend that was a fantastic discovery.

For appetizers, we enjoyed provolone cheese, shrimp casserole, asparagus wrapped in ribeye, beef carpaccio, octopus chicharrón, mandarina salad, iceberg salad, and queso fundido. Every dish was exquisite, beautifully presented, and full of fresh, vibrant flavors.

For the main course, we ordered the ribeye and the center-cut ribeye. Both cuts were juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection. My only minor note was that the fat on the ribeye wasn’t fully rendered, but this didn’t detract from the overall experience. Erick kindly offered to crisp it into pork skins, but by then we were ready for dessert. I did appreciate Erick’s willingness to make it right.

Dessert did not disappoint! The guava cheesecake was the star—light, flavorful, and simply amazing. The tiramisu, with its chocolaty twist, was also a hit—different from the traditional version but equally indulgent.

Overall, I’d rate this restaurant an overall 5 stars. From the impeccable service to the delicious food and inviting ambiance, it was an experience I would gladly repeat and highly recommend.
