This is the most beautiful hotel I've set my eyes on! The rooms are so so pretty, so clean, so luxurious! The atmorphere and the decor are just divine, with a dark and yet colorful floral style! It it very warm and soothing on the eyes!

My husband and I chose to have our wedding here, brought our family and friends to stay and celebrated in the Flower Garden together. It was one of the best choices we've made.

The service was magical and we cannot thank everyone enough. They took amazing care of us! The food was perfect, both at dinner and next morning at breakfast. Everyone loved it and was so happy during their time here!

Among other things, the MJ's is at a great location for anywhere in Malmö, but even just being inside the hotel is a unique experience.

Our favorite spot to stay over in Malmö. The rooms feel more homey than the typical Scandinavian minimalist design hotels. We love the fact that many rooms provide a bathtub and the Hotel Bar makes top notch cocktails. It is behind in most details compared to what you find in bigger cities, and occasionally the service miss out on the standard of five stars. The location in Malmö is precisely where you want it to be!

My recent stay at MJ's Hotel in Malmö was far from the relaxing and hospitable experience I had hoped for. Upon arrival, I encountered an issue that set a disconcerting tone for the remainder of my visit.

Upon check-in, the hotel employee requested my passport and, without seeking my consent, made a copy of it and filed it away. I immediately expressed my discomfort and objection, citing my previous experience with identity fraud. The employee insisted that it was a legal requirement under Swedish law. It was late, so I decided to address the issue the next morning.

The following day, I spoke with the reception staff about my concerns. They reiterated the necessity of keeping a passport copy, again referring to Swedish law. When they produced a document from the police, it only specified that they needed to record identity details such as name, address, and passport number—not a full copy of the passport. After I pointed this out, they apologized and attempted to retrieve the copy of my passport. To my dismay, they were unable to find it. They claimed the employee had destroyed the copy after my objection the previous night, but this explanation seemed implausible and felt like a cover-up for losing my passport details. This entire ordeal left me feeling very uneasy and concerned about the security of my personal information.

Adding to the discomfort, the hotel's atmosphere was more akin to a bustling nightclub than a restful retreat. The lobby, primarily a bar area, was crowded with non-guests drinking and partying until the early hours. Loud music played continuously, including in the hallways where the rooms are located. On Friday night, the music blared until 2 AM, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The focus of the lobby staff seemed entirely on the bar and its patrons, rather than on ensuring a pleasant stay for hotel guests.

Despite these significant issues, I must note that the rooms were nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was satisfactory. However, the overall experience was marred by the intrusive noise and the lack of guest-focused service. MJ's Hotel felt more like a nightclub with rooms attached than a hotel with a bar.

In summary, while the accommodations themselves were decent, the intrusive handling of my passport and the noisy, party-centric atmosphere made my stay at MJ's Hotel quite unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a restful and secure environment.

Love love love this place. Walked in by "mistake" I always love to try random places, less touristic. And I'm so happy I found this place ! Loved everything about it, the food, super fresh, tasty, and served nicely. The most delicious bread! I went the morning after to buy 2 breads to take with me before my flight! The working personal very kind. I wish I could take all that place and move it closer to me. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner !

Two friends and I visiting Copenhagen decided to train it to Malmo for dinner. I am delighted that I had a booking at Ruth’s. It was busy and I can understand why. From the moment we entered the restaurant we had the most amazing experience. The staff were superb, the food was faultless. Even the cider was memorable! Our lovely waitress was extremely knowledgeable and suggested certain dishes. The meals arrived beautifully presented, but the flavours were better. For a busy restaurant the dining experience was personable and attentive. Highly recommended.

I recently dined at Ruths in Malmö and was excited to try their salt cod brandade, served with marinated friggitelli peppers, potatoes, black olives, and parsley. The dish itself was quite tasty, with well-balanced flavors, and the complimentary bread was excellent. However, midway through enjoying the meal, we found a long strand of hair in the cod, which was extremely off-putting.

We returned the dish, and the staff handled the situation by offering us a 30% discount on both of our meals, along with complimentary coffee. While I appreciated the gesture and their efforts to make it right, the experience still left me disappointed, as I expected more in terms of quality control for a place with such a reputation. Hopefully, it was a one-off issue, but it did affect my impression of the restaurant.
