We sat at the outside patio and enjoyed the sun and the very attentive and motivated staff. All of the food was really delicious. The service was really fast and the crowds have been very well managed. Good choice if you visit the island.

The oldest restaurant and pub in/on Sandhamn, should be on your must do list. Upstairs is a dining room with a wide ranging menu and expect to have to book ahead, on the ground floor is a "pub" with a smaller menu, that most will find more than meets your needs. All diets are catered for to a degree, vegans will struggle. The mains and starters we had were great, the fish casserole possibly the best I have ever had. Who knew that pickled herring could be so good. The only disappointment was the pud a caramel cake served with a great vanilla ice cream, the cake element was, for me a little too dense. But still enjoyable.
An amusing thing is that Google asks about free or paid for parking even valet parking on an island with no cars or vans. I like AI that's not yet got that.

Absolutely worth a visit. The Musuem has mixed art including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, metal, apparel, every day items, music, tapestry, etc. It is displayed as periods of time and is very interesting to see how art developed and changed over time. For a quick walk through, estimate 2 hours but if you want to see everything properly, then it can easily take 5 hours. The restaurant has delicious fare and is set in a garden inside and is a lovely place for a bite or lunch. There are ample washrooms and free lockers for bags and coats. You cannot keep your luggage though.

We really enjoyed our visit here the exhibits were nice and we especially liked the sculpture garden on the main floor. We did find that some of the works could have used a longer description than just the dates. The building is also stunning so look up at the ceiling so you don't miss out on the murals. The only washrooms are in the basement so that's a bit inconvenient.

The National Museum in Sweden is worth the visit. They don't allow backpacks, so after buying the ticket, simply go to the basement floor to store your backpack, it is free. Don't make my mistake of holding my backpack in my hands throughout the visit! The museum has a great selection of paintings and sculptures. I especially loved the exhibition where they showed the home interiors of different periods in Sweden.

Has a wide and big collection of paintings, statues, and sculptures! Has 6 floors , but 2 or 3 are active, but still will require about 3-5 hours to go throw everything! The staff are friendly! The restaurants and gift shop has wide selection! The toilets are clean!
