That is exactly the kind of Italian kitchen I am looking for when in Italy. A lovely atmosphere, friendly service and a Chef that explains you on the table the menu. Sometimes you just have to follow the recommendation and you will experience something, learn new dishes and unterstand the Italian Kitchen. The Franciacorta that the Osteria produces was very good and food wise I have nothing else to say then spectacular!

Making it to the Monocle best restaurants list for 2019 can’t even do justice to this lovely, super authentic restaurant.

Arriving at the weird location, in the middle of practically nowhere, you’d be confused. Why would you want to go to this osteria in this random village? That’s exactly where you’ll be wrong.

Maurizio, the man who runs the place, will most likely greet you as you open the door to get in. He’ll quickly make sure you’re all comfortable, before making his way to your table with a bottle of his own prosecco. Mind you, this is prosecco from the famous Franciacorta region, aka Prosecco hills. You’re one sip away from heaven.

The food exceeds expectations - the gnocchi I had were the best I’ve ever tasted, by a mile.

I highly recommend Osteria Della Villetta, great home made food and fantastic retro atmosphere. Service is casual but very attentive and professional. I highly recommend to pay a visit and try one of the house specials. Great wine selection and reasonably priced.
