Across the board top 5 star luxury resort. Everything is excellent! Really enjoyed my stay with husband and child.

This is a lovely hotel but not nearly as nice as one we stayed at a few days early for less money.  The best parts of our stay were Francesco our masseuse and the Tamerici beach club. Francesco gave me an amazing Thai massage. Best body work I have ever had. My husband got a foot massage that included the entire body. He loved it. At the beach club, everything was great. Just remember to bring water shoes as there are a lot of rocks when you swim. The staff at the restaurant were so friendly and warm. The food is excellent  with many delicious gluten free options.

Overall very disappointed.
The grounds are fantastic and the location is nice. I really liked the tennis court, the breakfast and food at dinner.
However, the service is really mediocre (apart from the sommelier who is top-notch, the housemaids and the hotel porter who were all very kind) -  everyone seems a bit annoyed if you ask something, and it does not feel like a luxury hotel at all.
In addition, the spa is old and the massage rooms quite unappealing.
Finally, the room is ok, but with no particular charm.

It’s such a shame, because the hotel has potential, but it needs some renovation and considerable service improvement.

Il Melograno is an absolutely beautiful hotel in Monopoli with the most romantic and naturally beautiful details. The staff is so nice and helpful and surprised us with the most wonderful fruit basket and champagne to celebrate our wedding. The breakfast is an absolute must and has a huge selection of fresh food that is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Monopoli!
