If you are in the Gallipoli area and looking for a fine dining experience, this restaurant, located within the historic castle of Ugento, is worth a stop.
Both tasting menus (including the vegetarian one) were exceptional, with each course beautifully presented and based on locally sourced flavours. The wine pairing was a must, allowing for a taste of the region’s specialties and complementing each course.

Food was great. Staff was very welcoming. And we just had a wonderful time. We were so glad we came and will definitely be back. The dinner is served in an exquisite garden.. it's just breathtaking.
And our favorite dishes are the two in the photos here - in particular the desert, just yum. Wonderful chef! Wish we'd had the chance to meet him.

Staff was a bit on the young side, and maybe need to learn a bit more, but still very attentive and can't fault anything for the wonderful experience we had. Definitely 5/5

One of our favourite restaurants in Puglia! Food 5/5 Service 5/5 and location gorgeously restored, 5/5. A must on anyone's trip, especially if you like wine! Their wine cellar is beautiful in an antique room and their wine collection is amazing, one of the best in the region. Unfortunately, during our visit we couldn't see the wine cellar as the Sommelier wasn't available, but we'll definitely be back!
Oh and make sure you ask for their chocolate desert

My favourite word to describe our dinner here. After we left, I have no other words to describe what we experienced.
When we booked with our friends, we knew the place was charming, but little did we know that they would seat us in their stupendous garden alongside the ancient castle walls. The way they organised the tables, felt like a little oasis of calm, as if the garden was all to ourselves.
The food was wonderful. Only wish I'd had the chance to see the menus before we got there, so we had more time to select from the options. I think the menus should be posted online or sent to clients.
Staff a bit inexperienced, but this seems to be common these days in restaurants, at least this part of Italy anyway, and didn't affect us because they were all so eager to accommodate us. Oh, and they have a sweet young woman who describes all the dishes as they arrive with so much passion. We can't remember her name, but she was wonderful! Wish we'd had the chance to meet the Chef, but understand he's busy.
We can't wait to be back!! A must on anyone's tour throughout Puglia. Grazie!

We had a wonderful time. And there won't be a place that's more beautiful to eat at. I can guarantee you that. Even if the menu wasn't this good, I'd come here just for the beauty. Fortunately the menu and kitchen is so good that one wants to come back again and again. They figured out their secret sauce, the flavors in each of their dishes.
