I've been in a lot of hotel and this has to be one of the best. Everything was amazing. The rooms have everything you want and are beautiful on top. The communal rooms are a lovely space to have a ( complimentary) coffee or tea, or a glass of something special from the honesty bar, there  is also complementary port always available. The breakfast is a great way to set you up for the day, everything on the buffet is quality and delicious, a glass of champagne ( would be rude not to).. Would love to return 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

A wonderful stay in this historic building. Our room, overlooking the walled garden, was so comfortable, with bathrobes, slippers, and a decanter of port provided! Great breakfast too. There is a library and balcony overlooking the river on the top floor - a welcoming place to relax. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, with access to public transport  nearby, so it's easy to get into the heart of Lisbon. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and friendly, ready to answer questions, and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely recommend As Janelas Verdes!

My experience at Janelas Verdes could not be better.
I only used the rooftop for a drink and the library for a meeting, but it was so much worth it!
Beautiful view, well arranged space, amazing people working there, so nice and helpful.
Thank you for showing me how Portuguese people receive.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, one of the nicest I've ever stayed in.
Down a quiet street, this 18 century house, is a luxurious, cosy, and friendly place to stay
Rooms have everything, robes, slippers, Molton brown toiletries and port wine.
Around the house are 3 coffee stations with drinks, tea and coffee are free, all other drinks are available on honestly bar. The library is absolutely beautiful with a balcony overlooking the huge river. Breakfast is amazing, parking is available, but has to be reserved

This is a very comfortable and plush small hotel with friendly and helpful staff, a nice patio garden plus top-floor terrace and stunning views of the Tagus (and of the docks, which some may not want but personally I liked watching the boats). Well worth paying extra to get that view from your room. Probably renovated about 30 years ago, looking slightly faded, and popular with similar visitors. Rooms come with large and comfortable beds plus fancy marble bathrooms. It's off centre (so quieter) but there are nearby bus/tram/train stops plus Lisbon's cheap taxis are always easily to hand, or it's a pleasant 20m stroll downtown. Plenty of good local restaurants. Overall, highly recommended.
