My stay at Starby Spa, Hotell & Konferens was wonderful. The room was spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable and serene environment. The service staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's peaceful surroundings added to the overall relaxation. Vadstena was easily accessible on foot, and there were several shopping options nearby. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Me and my boyfriend went there with the Sunday package this weekend and we honestly couldn't be happier! All the staff was amazing, super relaxing environment and amazing food (both dinner and breakfast).
100% what we were needing after working a lot!!!!
After dinner, me and my boyfriend went to the bar to grab some drinks and everything was really good!!! Shout out to the girl that was behind the bar this Sunday, super lovely and welcoming!
The only sad part was the rain since we were planning on going on a walk after dinner. Location is amazing as well!!! Super short walk to the castle and lake. We are for sure coming back🫶

Vadstena is a quaint little town close to nature with wonderful hiking. The hotel matched the town. The spa was luxurious but not overly so. The room was aged and could have used some modernization. We ended up in a cottage with parking a bit away from the main building. A few lightbulbs were out but the room was clean. The beds were nice but not the most comfortable.

All the things are fine and Swedish standard service. Only thing is like when we check out ínstead of letting us go directly. The front desk chose to let us wait while chatting with a check-in family. Totally understand the front desk give info like spa, where to take tour, where to find good ice cream. But after waiting 10 minutes for all this, she even start to chitchat wheee you are from or so and totally ignore the guests waiting beside. Particularly we have a small baby by the side. I am not talking about the priority but the efficiency and respecting. Believe there is huge room to improve on courtesy and efficiency.

I would say 1 star hotel. Breakfast was terrible, tasteless, tomatoes were of 1 week cut and smelled like mold. Bacon was overcooked and tasteless. There was just 2 type of fruit. No sparkling water, coffee tasted like colored water with vinegar.
Rooms were average, I found 3 insects which means that they are not cleaned properly or checked routinely.
You have to pay for coffee outside the routine breakfast hours. There is nothing free in the common areas, not even water.
Booked a room and specifically asked to be placed away form the restaurant and they give me a room exactly close to the restaurant. When I told them they looked ve ty uncomfortable although I specifically wrote them about it before.
1000 SEK/night/person definitely not worth it, I would say I would have paid 400 max if I knew this.
They said there was a bath for the feet in the spa, no trace of it. The guest had to pay 125 SEK extra for a towel in the spa.
Terrible experience. I have felt better in the cheapest bread and breakfast in the city.
