Had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Easy to get to with public transport to Engelberg and then 2 cable rides/lifts. Wonderful location with stunning views. The room we had (101, with private bathroom) was comfortable, clean and very quiet.

Had the set menu 4-course dinner included in our stay and the staff was very accommodating when we asked to be moved away from noisy children that were dining at the same time, we got a nice quiet corner instead. The food was delicious, well-made and plentiful. In fact, the staff walked around with dishes of the main course + sides and asked if we wanted another portion! First time I've had that in a hotel restaurant, very charming. :D The included breakfast was also very nice, with plenty to choose from and frequent refills of popular items.

Best thing about the hotel is the staff though! Super-friendly and helpful and they really make you feel welcome. It seems they really like their hotel and take pride in it.

Amazing location to rest after a beautiful hike 🤩

We stayed one night there after doing the 4 lake hike starting in melchsee-frutt, and it was the perfect place to enjoy a nice meal and recharge for the next day.

(For those with less energy, it is also easily accessible from Engelberg taking 2 gondolas up)

We stayed in a 4 person beautiful wooden room, which was much bigger than we imagined and had really amazing views.
Everything was very clean and the bathroom had everything one might wish.

Dinner was amazing, being vegan is not always easy when staying on the mountains, but on this one it was a great experience. Not only the food was delicious, but the staff was 5 stars, very attentive to our needs 😊

Will come back there again for sure and definitely recommend the visit 😊

Really liked it, for being a mountain hut it offers so much more. This place definitely feels like a hotel. The room was good, comfortable bed and pillows, great lake view and the bathroom (which we picked in room, but you can also choose to share) was spacious and with good amenities. The best part were the dinner (you get a set menu with 4 courses) and breakfast, very nice meals we were so pleased with both. Very friendly staff, we will be back!
