We had a fantastic evening heading over to the Isle of Wight for dinner in this restaurant. The instructions were very easy to follow about where to leave the boat, and as we approached the launch came out to collect us. Getting from the boat to the pontoon was really easy and the staff member was very friendly.

We had a fantastic table seated on the front of the restaurant outside in a booth which was very private but also had a fantastic view over the water and the sunset. Upon arrival the staff were really friendly and very helpful, and there was somewhere warm to hang our jackets to dry off a little bit.

The wine menu was really good, and we thoroughly enjoyed some white burgundy and carafes which was well priced and delicious. We all had different starters and were very impressed with the variety and flavours. I had a lemon sole for the main course which was brilliant, a good combination and pairing with capers

This restaurant gets top points for ambience and location, the sunset reminded me of eating in the Florida keys.

We weren’t exactly looking for somewhere to eat, more for somewhere to have a coffee since we had a cooked breakfast and it wasn’t quite lunch time. However when we came across the hut, my curiosity got the better of me when I saw the beautiful decor and the larger ceiling to floor windows over looking the sea. We were ushered in and when we looked at the menu we were a little speechless. This is definitely not the type of place you stumble into for a quick bite to eat.
Despite the basic name, this restaurant was far from basic and that was reflected in the prices. I watched another couple enjoying a £120 surf and turf and share some lobster with their dog. After some persuasion we agreed to splash out a little and order a main meal to keep us going for the journey home. I ordered the steak as I do not like fish and the menu was very fish heavy. The steak was heavenly, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. My husband had the fish curry with was a red Thai sauce, I had a sneaky taste and it was also incredible. It was worth the money we paid and the atmosphere (loved their playlist) and beautiful decor made it for a perfect meal out. Had I a baby sitter and had we eating in the evening I think it would be even more perfect.

Our recent visit to The Hut on the Isle of Wight was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled right by the sea, the ambience is unbeatable.. a perfect blend of relaxed elegance with stunning ocean views. The sound of the waves and the gentle sea breeze added a magical touch to the experience.

The food was absolutely divine. The lobster was cooked to perfection, succulent, and bursting with flavour. The sea bream was equally impressive, fresh, and expertly prepared. It's clear that The Hut takes pride in sourcing the finest seafood.

Service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed. However, be sure to make a reservation as this gem of a place is in high demand.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with our visit. The Hut is a must-visit for seafood lovers and anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal by the sea. We left feeling over the moon and can't wait to return!

Love this place, fabulous views and great food. Love the hats!

We hadn’t got a booking but the staff managed to get us in!
Definitely worth a visit. A must for seafood lovers.

So good I might have to go and edit all my previous reviews down a star!

The atmosphere and welcoming nature of the staff is the first thing you notice when you get to the hut, we were quickly seated and they'd written a card for my girlfriends birthday and also given her a pair of hut branded sunglasses.

We were quickly served drinks and they double checked on allergens which is a great sign for a seafood restaurant. There was the most amazing sunset when we arrived and the hut definitely offers good views of it with floor to ceiling glass windows and a retractable roof.

I had the sashimi to start which very promptly arrived. This was the best fish I've ever tasted, the tuna just melted in my mouth and I savoured every bite, not wanting it to end.

The veal for the main was expensive (or you could say deer), but for the price you get a great sized cut and the samphire on top is a lovely touch.

We shared a chocolate tart for desert which came out with a sparkler in and happy birthday written on the plate in chocolate sauce, this wasn't asked for but a very nice thing for them to do.

The hut is expensive, but you get what you pay for and I would happily pay the same again. Overall an incredible experience and a must visit for a special occasion.
