If you are in the area definitely try this place out for a good experience. Went here for lunch. The meat quality was good and the vegetables were fresh. Our server was Hana. She is nice and she speaks English. She was always checking up and making sure we had our meats. Also, she made us her sauce to go with our soup base and it was good. Thinking about this place is making me hungry. I will definitely come back when I visit Japan again.

Service was great, service staff could speak English and was very quick to clear empty plates and bring more meat. We ordered Nabezo course and the portions and quality of meat was fantastic. Restaurant is constantly packed, recommend to make reservation or would have to wait for about and hour during peak periods. Very value for money.

Ice cream was superb as well. Usually buffet ice cream offers cheap tasting icy stuff. But they serve the good stuff here.

A really good experience here! We're lucky there was no line on a Friday night. The server, Ms. Lam was really nice to us, showed us the differences between all the different nabe and sukiyaki, and really helped our meal become enjoyable.

We chose the shio-tonkatsu and sukiyaki, and personally love the sukiyaki since the salty soy sauce base worked so well with the raw egg. The ice cream was good as well. Highly recommend the black sesame ice cream and beef shoulder and beef flank

Kind of a must try when visiting Tokyo night life. Many small bars offering drinks and conversations. Some cover charge or are members only but others are very friendly around 1000 yen per drink. Ace's was my favorite for good music and friendly bar tender Akemi who spoke English well and was nice talking to.

What a completely different experience for nightlife. A must go if you are someone who likes trying different things and putting yourself in different situations.

These tiny little alleyways have bars lined on each side, most of which seat only 2-6 people. A few of them have a tad more room, for maybe 12 people. Some of them seem to hate foreigners, while others promote the English speaking aspect.

We visited two different spots and each time, you're right up against another person where you are almost forced to interact with them. There is a single bartender, and a limited selection of drinks in each place.

Definitely not something for someone who doesn't want to interact with humans.

Leave your bags at home! Because these Golden Gai bars are small and tight. Every bar has great service and you meet very nice people from all over the world. Speaking basic Japanese here will go along way.

Shinjuku Golden-Gai is composed of a network of six narrow alleys, connected by even narrower passageways which are about wide enough for a single person to pass through. Over 300 tiny shanty-style bars, clubs and eateries are squeezed into this area. The vibe you can breath here is really charming, feeling the real Japanese atmosphere and coming back to the old time of which this district was built. Despite I suggest to visit one of these bars to get a beer or other drinks, I strongly recommend to avoid tourist scams as many activities charge unreasonable amount of money in addition to drink cost. Moreover, please make sure to have some cash with you as 90% of places here do not accept any electronic payment.

it was a very interesting experience. i do not believe you can find anything like it in Tokyo!

however a lot of pubs have a fee of around 500¥ for only sitting down. the drinks are not that cheap also.

however the pub we did go inside was very nice and i lovedd the matcha g&t!
the pubs are quite cramped but i thinks that’s the charm of Golden-Gai :)

Wagyu Feast + Night View of Two Towers (two towers facing each other from afar), only at KINTAN Ebisu on the 38th floor. An additional 3000 yen per table for the night view, but the scenery is totally worth it.

I have eaten better Wagyu before, so the food is only 3/5. If I close my eyes, I could not tell it’s regular New York steak or wagyu. But the view adds a lot of credits to it.
