I joined Soho House Rome primarily to enjoy the pool during the summer, but I was deeply disappointed. The pool is very small, and it’s impossible to swim in it. The sunbeds are also a major issue—every single one gets booked within minutes, and despite trying throughout the summer, I only managed to secure one bed once. Even when I arrived for the "afternoon slot," the guests from the "morning slot" refused to leave, and the pool attendant didn’t intervene at all. We ended up leaving in frustration.

The gym is another letdown—while it’s technically included in the membership, none of the fitness classes are, and you have to pay extra for the cinema. So, the membership fee primarily just gives you access to the restaurant, where, of course, you still pay for food and drinks out of pocket.

Another frustrating aspect is the requirement to buy "house credit" for three months. If you don’t spend it, you lose it, which feels like a forced commitment. I also found the atmosphere to be rather unwelcoming—some guests were quite obnoxious, and I didn’t meet a single friendly person during my visits.

The food itself is decent, but nothing special. The restaurant is beautiful, though the hallway leading into the building gives off a cold, utilitarian vibe reminiscent of a Soviet block. The neighborhood is also a downside—far from everything and feels a bit sketchy, especially at night.

The final straw was my birthday celebration. I had specifically requested a table on the terrace, but when I arrived, it had been given away to someone else. After an hour of waiting, the staff rushed us to finish because they needed the table for someone else. When we left two hours later, the terrace had multiple empty tables. No one acknowledged my birthday either, which was a real letdown.

In conclusion, Soho House Rome does not live up to the hype or the membership price. There are better pools, restaurants, and experiences to be had in Rome, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

From nyc. Stayed here with my girlfriend for five days. We loved it. Room was nice, staff was great, food was amazing.

I’ve never stayed in any of the other houses so I don’t have much of a comparison. But I thought this one was beautiful. All the areas are really gorgeous.

Gym, spa….was a great place to stay. My girlfriend worked remotely and it was perfect.

The area is not the best though. Not much to do. If you want to be right in the middle of the action I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Otherwise it was a great experience.

Possibly the WORST soho house service/staff. Pool was greasy and dirty. There were never any pool towels available. Tables were left with dirty dishes. Only positive is the rooms are absolutely stunning. Not a walkable location- you’ll need to take Ubers everywhere.

We had a wonderful stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, comfortable and every detail had been thought of. The restaurant and the terrace are wonderful. The location feels a little off the beaten track so not super central but the hotel makes up for that.

The service here is honestly terrible. Staff have no clue and are clearly not trained at all. No one helped us with our luggage, no one showed us to our room or showed us around the hotel/facilities and I had to ask about breakfast WiFi etc. the hotel is nice and the rooms are cool and spacious, but they need to check the rooms as our shower drain was blocked so we had to wait ages for the water to drain, none of the lights worked in the wardrobes and some of the plug sockets were very loose. You can’t distinguish the staff, they all look like scruffy students, in fact the 2 guys from reception were smoking right outside the entrance when we came back from dinner. It seems like no one is proud to work there and you’re just left to your own devices. There is also absolutely nothing in the surrounding area-not even a corner store to buy water, as the hotel does not provide you with any water in the room, so you can’t even use the coffee machine in the room.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Top Class Hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff who made me feel welcome and valued.
What truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff was always attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met without being intrusive. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.
Overall, my experience at the Top Class Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious stay with exceptional service. I can’t wait to return!

I have been to many 5 star hotels & this is not a 5 star hotel— I give it 3.8 out of 5. All staff on site were friendly, but I believe it’s the management team that needs to remind employees and most of all THEMSELVES to check up on guest refills, pool/beach towel changes, & most of all, not making up lies. All guests at the pool the days I spent, all complained about the temperature. Staff would say it’s 23•C or 26, when in reality it was a cold winter’s day type of temp; very ridiculous. When you are talking about a 5 star resort, you are referring to constant on-foot service & guaranteed service; actually,
Above & Beyond commitment.

Not sure why the rooms are around 1,500 per night - nothing amazing, cracks on the wall, needs new paint. The phone on the night stand did not work, none of the buttons worked.

The food is average; pizza that anyone in the world can produce, they require a 24/7 notice - it’s pizza, not a 4-tier wedding cake.

Lastly, when I think of a 5 star resort, I think we can all agree that amenities and shuttle service are always expected on site. The location of the hotel is kind of far out. To get to a town or a Tuscan wine adventure for a day, the hotel has no real tour service connection for guests nor any shuttles. Again, I’ve been at 5 star hotels & have seen them provide this type of service.

A hidden gem. Part private villa and part hotel. This must be one of the most beautiful places on the coast of Italy. Pristine Mediterranean water for swimming, two star Michelin dining, attentive hotel service, private living quarters scattered throughout the beautifully manicured property.
