Wow just wow! What a spectacular place! The founder’s vision to create a space where the arts are free and accessible to all is alive and well. Beautiful architecture, lovely gardens, amazing views, and an incredible variety of art and history. We spent all day here and were amazed yet still felt there was more we could see making us hopeful to return again. Entry is free just recommended to reserve a time slot online ahead of time to assure admission, parking is usually $25 at peak hours, tram is free (and fun), and the food court is a bit pricey but has good options. Looking forward to returning again someday to see what rotating exhibits arrive and revisit the beauty.

This museum is exceptional. J. Gettys lifetime collection and more. The grounds are expansive and impressive.  You need several days to take it all in. We did not do a tour, but they are available.  Parking is $25, and a tram takes you to the grounds. Restaurants and coffee shops, a lot of restrooms, beautiful views of the ocean.

We arrived at The Getty Center at 10 AM with the family, ready for a day of art and beauty. The museum is divided into galleries featuring European paintings, sculptures, and photography. Outside, the Central Garden is stunning, filled with roses, lavender, and sycamore trees. The views of Los Angeles are breathtaking. Fun fact: The Getty Center houses one of the world’s finest art collections. A small downside was the crowds, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying a full day exploring the art, architecture, and peaceful gardens. It was a truly inspiring experience!

I had a great time here! The place is stunning, and you can get some really nice views of the city. You can also check out the museum and ask for a tour, or you can just wander around on your own. Oh, and you can register your visit online at the Getty website without cost. The only thing you have to pay for is parking.

A pearl for friends of architecture and art. The location of the museum with a view over the city is fantastic. The gastronomy: excellent and with a very good price/performance ratio.
Admission is free. As usual for L.A., it is easier to reach by car.

The iconic Nobu Malibu.

While the view, the atmosphere, and service is quite up to par with expectations, it is somewhat hard to justify the rather hefty price. While most of the dishes taste great, the portions are quite small and some tasted just “okay.” That being said, the quality of the dishes and ingredients were undoubtedly great.

While the restaurant may not justify the price tag for “non-special” meal, I think it may be worth it for some special occasion.

Also good to note that they offer valet/parking, while its extremely hard to find a decent parking in Malibu.

Food is good as always. Good luck getting a reservation, but it can be done if you’re patient on the phone. Location is beachside and gorgeous! Walked in with no reservation and was immediately seated. Servers were very friendly and helpful. The food presentation is impeccable. The portions are small bite size. You'll leave feeling satisfied. We had oysters (so fresh and flavourful) Jalapeno Yellowtail Sashimi (delish) the must try-fan faves Rock Shrimp Tempura and Black Cod Miso. For dessert, ordered the Bento Box which was just okay. Definitely a great experience and relaxing atmosphere.

There’s a reason Nobu Malibu is one of those places everyone longs to dine at—especially during sunset hour. As the sun begins to dip, casting an orange-pink glow over the Pacific, waves gently hit the beach beneath you, and you're perched on the edge. Arriving around 6:30 p.m. was strategic—just in time to catch the famous Malibu sunset. The interior is clean and spacious, with natural woods that mirror the relaxed elegance of the beach.

I started with edamame—a choice that in hindsight felt like stretching before a marathon. Next, the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño arrived, each slice so delicate and pristine with a subtle kick of jalapeño. The crispy rice with spicy tuna followed, and this version nailed it: crispy, golden rice topped with fresh, spicy tuna. The seared toro with truffle teriyaki had promise, but it missed the mark. The toro itself was rich and delicious, just as you'd hope, but the truffle teriyaki was overwhelming, throwing the balance way off—honestly, I’d skip it. The lobster tacos, on the other hand, were a treat. Buttery, tender lobster tucked into a crispy shell, with each bite offering a fresh hint of the sea.

Then came the larger dishes. The rock shrimp tempura, served in a creamy, spicy sauce, ticked every box on the checklist. There’s the legendary black cod with miso—a staple and classic, was as tender and sweet as expected, it’s practically dessert in itself. The ribeye with truffle butter sauce was tender and flavorful, with the irresistible richness of the truffle butter – it’s no wonder this dish became an instant favorite. The scallop truffle chips were an unexpected favorite. Each scallop was delicately seared atop a crisp chip that delivered an ideal crunch-to-softness ratio.

Finally, dessert, and at Nobu, it’s practically mandatory. The date cake with crème fraîche and japanese whiskey was sweet and comforting, the dates lending a caramel-like depth. But the real gem was the bento box, featuring dark chocolate fondant and matcha ice cream—an exquisite duo.

Drinks deserve a quick mention—cucumber mint lemonade, summer dragon, and the malibu cocktail were all refreshing, though the food certainly took center stage. The cocktails were good, but perhaps not the upper-echelon mixology level one might expect.

The service was flawless. Attentive, timely and thoughtful. Nobu Malibu is a well-choreographed experience that pairs stunning scenery with an extraordinary feast. From its top-tier sushi to those gorgeous ocean views, this spot earns every bit of its reputation as a place that’ll keep drawing you back.
