World class Michelin star restaurant. Service, food, and atmosphere is excellent.
The wine menu holds a high French standard and they apply the golden wine menu rule: If the wine you’re suggesting is sold out, they offer you a more expensive wine for the same price.

This is a great place to take a couple of friends or your better half for a womderful food experience. This place delivers on all key parameters: food, service, glamour and price tag compared to other places in the world.

We joined in a culinary lunch experience with a movie at the local movie theater, guided tour back to the restaurant, and a great champagne lunch. Absolutely great.

You pay for what you get, and get you will.

It's quite expensive, as is to be expected from a Michelin star restaurant. But it's worth it if you can afford it. The whole experience is just incredible. The service, the food, the ambiance. Everything. And unless you're an extremely rich person who always eats at Michelin restaurants, you will be extremely impressed by the presentation too. Just look at the attached picture!

I could write an essay about my experience, but you you just have to go and get your own. 10/10, would eat again.

If I could afford it, I would eat at Speilsalen several times a year.

Staff is very charming, they provided us will lots of information on sites to visit, and restaurants.  Britannia food is excellent,  some of the best we had in Norway. The beds are Hastings and we slept great. I high recommended staying at Britania. Hope to come back.😊

Location:
The Britannia hotel is situated in the center of Trondheim, with all the sights within walking distance.

Service:
When we arrived by car, the first question from the doorman was if we had reserved a parking space. This is not the welcome one would expect, as the hotel did not inform me about the need to reserve parking when I booked the hotel.

Food & Drinks:
We had dinner at the brasserie and drinks at the bar. Both venues were great. The cocktails are amazing. Absolutely stunning was the breakfast. The choice was great, with cheese, fish, and both warm and cold dishes.

Rooms:
The rooms are beautifully furnished and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Facilities:
The gym is very well equipped, and the pool is nice.

Summary:
Great hotel with an exceptional breakfast. They just need to improve the welcome process at the door.

Amazing hotel in the midst of town with the  best breakfast and spa in town. Just loved the breakfast with artisanal cheese, bread, cooked to order food, any fancy coffee drink and chai latte you can imagine in the most luxurious setting. Pair this with a relaxing spa with all the amenities underground and a great fitness center and you have the perfect get away. Yes, it was a splurge, but well worth it as were the complimentary tickets to see the cathedral.

We spent the night at the Britannia Hotel on our trip around Norway (Brekstad) before heading to our Cruise Ship in Bergen.

The staff was extremely accommodating to us. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The amenities were clearly 5 Star.

We visited the Spa and it was world class. We used the sauna, steam, jacuzzi and showers. Incredible experience.

In the morning the buffet breakfast was unparalleled. Every possible breakfast choice was presented beautifully and delicious!

Its location to old Trondheim was perfect. We loved everything about it!

The Britannia Hotel is SUPERB!!!
We arrived and there was a drizzle, we were greeted outside by a host with an umbrella to help us with the luggage. The host went out of his way to assist me in parking the car in the street being their garage would not be accessible until later in the day. The front desk was extremely pleasant with an issue we had with our reservations thru Bookings.com and kindly upgraded us. The room was exceptional with details to accommodate their guests. The breakfast was amazing and every single staff member we came across was genuinely helpful. We truly loved our stay, thank you for making this a very memorable stay.
