Great place for a dinner and lovely staff. Portions are really big, and apparently they grow some of their vegetables and honey is coming from the garden.
The building is around 400 years old, if you are going after the garden is closed, they come to pick you up to garden’s door.
Definitely going back there in spring. We were so happy with the waiters.

Fasangården is a hidden gem that you absolutely need to visit if you’re in Copenhagen! My wife and I recently enjoyed a delightful lunch here, and I can’t recommend it enough. Nestled in a charming courtyard, it’s the perfect spot for a sunny summer day.

The highlight? Danish smørrebrød! As Danes ourselves, we have plenty of experience with this culinary specialty, and I can confidently say that Fasangården serves some of the best. We had two each, and every bite was a fantastic. Paired with a bottle of champagne, it was an absolute treat.

The ambiance is relaxed, the service impeccable, and the food? Fantastic. If you’re looking to dive into some local specialties, Fasangården is the place to be. Just make sure to bring an appetite and a love for great food and good vibes🥂

Hidden Gem in the park such a beautiful charming place serving a delicious tasting menu with danish Smørrebrød. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much they even kept the tiny bathtub from old day in the guest toilet.

However the service doesn’t match the quality of everything else. Waiter and waitresses were quite rude and not pleasant. The way they explained the menu also felt like they have no passion and pride with the restaurant at all and hate their job.

it is sad that we won’t be back again even everything else was great.

The location of this restaurant is stunning, and the waitstaff were attentive and kind. However, the menu we received was quite ordinary. For the main course, the meat we had was slightly overcooked, whereas our neighbor had a beautifully pink and reddish piece. The food was decent overall, but not compelling enough to encourage a return visit.

Fresh seasonable vegetables and rustic but traditional techniques are on display here. The food is tasty, but Fasangården gets 4 stars from me for missing the mark on its value-to-price radio, especially as compared to comparable price points in Copenhagen, a foodie haven in Europe.

The dishes are well thought out, but not all fully executed on, in my opinion. First, highlights:

The best venison I’ve ever had. Cooked to absolute perfection and paired with a savory rose-reduction, it’s a triumph. The mackerel dish and vegetable dishes were also great starters, light on the palate and they came out quickly. Inventive way to serve produce and fish you find throughout Scandinavia.

Now, the negatives:
Of note are the brioche toast, which may have been closer to burnt than toasted, and the cured egg yolk and scallop dish, which in theory is excellent but in practice was regrettably pretty bland. The dessert pastry shell felt stale, and the textural contrast against the frozen yogurt was kind of uncomfortable. The strawberries were the best part, but they’re really just strawberries.

Service was slow, but on a nice evening sat outside, that was fine.

Overall, a 4 star experience. Good food, but a step below the competition.
