My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and were not disappointed!

Set right on the lake the views are stunning. We were greeted on arrival by two eager and helpful bellmen who already knew who we were and whisked our bags away. We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready so the staff let us eat in the restaurant free of charge which was a nice gesture.

The rooms are well equipped and reasonably spacious and the whole hotel is very well appointed.

We reserved the entire spa for an hour (included in the resort fee) which was amazing, everyone should try it. We rented the tennis courts for an hour (also included) which was a ton of fun. The complimentary breakfast every morning was amazing and so relaxing as you look out over the lake sipping your coffee.

Overall the staff were very attentive, helpful and we really felt like we received 5 star treatment. The hotel is clearly well managed and customer satisfaction is top priority. For example, we got hit with a surprise bill for ironing services (they do not let you have an iron in the room for some reason) and upon explaining we would have ironed our own clothes if we could get an iron, they just removed the charge from the bill no questions asked. I like that they treat you with respect and don’t nickel and dime you.

I would highly recommend the hotel, we had an amazing time during our stay.

We were more than thrilled with our stay at Grand Tremezzo ! Everything was top-notch – from the excellent service especially Mr. Alberto Denotti for welcome and assistance & the delicious meals we enjoyed. The Aurelia Suite was the most beautiful room we have ever stayed in, with breathtaking views and an incredibly comfortable bed. The ambiance was fantastic and made our stay even more unforgettable.

We would like to sincerely thank you for the warm welcome, and we can confidently say that we will be back. It was an unforgettable anniversary for us, and we have truly fallen in love with the hotel. We wholeheartedly recommend the iconic Grand hotel Tremezzo our stay was simply iconic!

5* hotel! We enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. It does help to book restaurants in advance. We had a lovely boat trip arranged by the hotel and a special dinner at their sister hotel, Passalacqua. The front desk staff were always very helpful during our stay. A Gem on the lake!

This is a great hotel, with a great location, outstanding service and excellent food. It's located on the lake between two ferry dock and numerous nearby shops and outside restaurants. I have stayed and eaten here for many years and it has maintained a high standard and Italian charm. Not a place that lists the famous people who have started there, you just know almost every who stays there is treated as if they were.

We stayed at Il Sereno for 3 nights in July and had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel service is truly 5-star, with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. Even though the hotel was fully booked during our stay, it still felt personal, intimate and private. Many times, you hardly noticed any other guests. The pool and spa  were great! The staff were outstanding  and helped with all transportation, boating, and dinner arrangements. With respect to the restaurant, we had seen mixed reviews but decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant for one of our nights in Torno.  We were so happy we did!  The food was fantastic quality, service was top, and it really was a great experience overall. Thank you for such a great stay. We hope to return some time in the future.

We had an incredible anniversary meal at the restaurant. Ruben, Genaro & the rest of the team made us very welcome in their picturesque dining room. The food was exceptional - very much a first class culinary experience. Would thoroughly recommend - 5 stars!

Absolutely the best hotel in ALL of Europe.

You could not pay for a better view. The pool is heated and offers amazing views. You can jump off the dock into the lake and I just am having a blast. I’m writing this review like 4 hours into my stay here… It’s that amazing. Well worth the price and it’s KIDS friendly! 10/10 stars.

The staff is AMAZING. This isn’t like a regular hotel where you check in. The experience was so different from anything I’ve experienced and I’ve been to quite a few nice hotels. Well done.

The staff was mostly delightful. The location was quaint but hard to find. The rooms are small for the price and the idea of a suite is not what most are used to. A suite usually refers to a separate seating room. I would say our room was more of a large regular room.
We visited the mandarin oriental and for the money you may prefer this.

Although the place is clearly very luxurious, i experienced the staff at the entrance as very unprofessional. Came three days in a row to meet up with our friends staying at the hotel and was asked the same security questions by the same persons every time. The first time our friends came to greet us at the entrance - and this should have been a heads up that we actually knew the guest!  But the following days we were asked the same questions and we were even escorted to the restaurant, as they probably did not trust us- making us feel like criminals. This is when the excessive and useless safety checks turn into a terrible customer experience. Will never recommend or visit this venue again.
