Had a great night at Sago House! Arrived a bit early for our reservation and they accommodated us despite being packed. My brother and I got counter seats, perfect for watching the bartenders work with their electric energy and enthusiasm.

The cocktails were impressive - complex and layered. We tried four different ones, with the Concrete Jungle being my favourite - a sour with brown butter that added a nice richness to the drink.

The staff's welcoming attitude and the casual atmosphere made the evening special. When it started raining, the manager even gave us ponchos to keep dry - very thoughtful touch.

Definitely coming back soon. Highly recommend!

A great bar tucked away on Duxton Hill. Cool decor, great service, and delicious food and drinks. They come up with a new drinks menu each week with a selection of unique and delicious cocktails - you can also order the classics if you want. The food was very good too - they do snacks and more substantial options such as the Sago cheese steak which was delicious.
Good vibes all round. Would highly recommend.

One of my recommended cocktail bars (being a local myself) to people who’s coming to Singapore from overseas. Their staff are very friendly and have smiles all night. Interesting new cocktails every week, which the bartenders will intimately recommend to you. Bar bites are great too! Cosy yet chic atmosphere! Sometimes you might even get a shot on the house!

Sago House feels like the best neighborhood bar you could ever visit. From the second you walk in and the entire staff yells HELLO to you, you'll be in a great mood. They even write your name on the bar if you have a reservation. There is so much happy memorabilia and heart felt clutter that you'll constantly be interested in everything around you. Except maybe the cocktails.

They change the menu every week and shows. I appreciate the creativity in rotating a menu weekly, but that means any review of the drinks is only valid for a week. My week (week #222 per the menu) could have been better. Some drinks are bangers while others might be underdeveloped fillers. With only a week or two to research, taste test, and teach, the resulting cocktails don't feel properly balanced. With only six cocktails on the menu at time, you're also less likely to find a taste that suits you. Competing bars in Singapore at this caliber (other 50 Best Bars) offer a range of flavors that can't be covered by six drinks. It was slightly disappointing flavors in a otherwise fantastic venue.
