Still love this place. Desperately miss the old water parks and Nintendo/Lego lands from my childhood.  But they did a good job with the waterfront trail making it a beautiful walk with my kids.  I really hope they bring something besides the Nordic spa to the water front park area.

It's an escape from the city. You still hear the planes take off from Billy Bishop, but still much quieter compared to being next to Lake Shore. There is a long trail for walking and cycling to travel around the island. There are parks and little areas to rest and picnic. There is even a shoreline to access the lake to swim (too many rocks to be considered a beach). Overall, this is a good outdoor space.

**So I went to Echo beach, which part of Ontario place. This venue is for concerts. I just saw Volbeat there last night. Sound is awesome. There's a good view, even from the very back, and you have the lake right there. I love this place for Concerts over indoor spots like History.

Immensely satisfying visual treat to witness the golden hour. Winter sunsets in Toronto can be best experienced at Ontario Place. You get different views of the city from Ontario place on each season. The winter icicles, the spring blooms the summers and the fall all have their unique appeal. A good place to walk with your friends and family and enjoy the views of lake Ontario. If you love nature amidst the humdrum of city Ontario place is the best place you should visit. It has ample parking space and if you want to come on your bike e-scooter you can do that as well. The nearest TTC street car stop is either the Exhibition loop or strachan Avenue. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. It's my favourite spot for photography throughout the year in Toronto.

Waterfront Night Market

Don't charge to get in. Food is $$$$$, it's not actually a waterfront event. Porta potty bathrooms that were nasty. Parking is 30. For a family of four it was $300. Pros: HARD working people. The taco I ate was good and mango was fresh. Would recommend for 18+ who aren't hungry and eat some gummies before and enjoy the dj who was pretty great.

This was such a fun, spontaneous evening! It had a cool Oriental night market vibe with tons of food stalls, bouncy houses, and two live DJs. The food was tasty but definitely pricey, especially after the entrance fee (which wasn't cheap). Highlight was launching lanterns into the water such a sweet little moment with my kid. It felt like a cool blend of culture-meets-festival energy. Would totally go again, just maybe pre-game with snacks first .

The website: I wasn't impressed with this waterfront night market. I had such high hopes though. Their marketing & pictures of past events looked so good. Hubby & I bought tickets for this year's event. Firstly, their website doesn't have any FAQs. Other than a link to buy tickets & what the cost of the ticket gets you there's not much more information. First Impressions: We arrived just after 4pm & lined up. We got through pretty quickly because there wasn't much of a lineup. The device they were using to scan tickets wouldn't scan ours so they took a picture instead. We had VIP tickets so we got the "nicer" red lantern with tealight candle (the kind with a battery & a switch to turn on). They did a bag check & saw one of us had a bottle of water with us (unopened). They made us throw it into the garbage before going in. That wasn't nice. I later saw people with their reusable water bottles walking around with it. Why were those allowed and not ours? Not nice. As we went inside some booths weren't even set up. Though a good amount were already making their food items for waiting customers. One booth near the entrance was grilling skewers & the smoke went everywhere. The food: After wandering around I decided to get the ube burger & fries from the Bunso booth. The burger was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The beef patties inside were quite thin. It didn't look appetizing compared to the picture. But it tasted a lot better than it looked. LOL. One thing I will criticize about the burger I wish they hadn't put so much black pepper into the patty. It was a bit spicy for me. It would have been nice if they had seasoned it more gently. The fries were decent. My only complaint is that they weren't hot. But given the circumstances where they were cooked (outdoors on a windy day) I can understand that. The Chatime food truck was nearby so I bought a purple aura bubble tea drink from them. It was too sweet for me. I only drank about half of it before abandoning it. Later on I got the egg shaped waffles in a small carton & the combo comes with lemonade in a flask. This was from Eggette Lab. The flask is a round ring & the strap is pink. Hubby drank the weak lemonade in it. It was funny to see him wearing the flask with pink ribbon & cartoon cats on it. Hubby got chicken skewers from Bunso (no picture) & a Vietnamese coffee style drink (didn't catch name of food vendor). The good: -The red lanterns hanging above the dance floor were nice. -The water feature where the lanterns go was nice. But the water didn't look too clean. -There was a plastic gold dragon by the water which looks nice in pictures & there's a small red bridge beside the water feature for selfie shots. -There was also some plastic Fu dogs where the dragon dancers have a tent. -The fake cherry blossoms looked nice too. -People were friendly & food vendors were friendly. -There were picnic tables set up near the back of the area away from the dance floor. It was quieter there. -The live dj was good. The bad: -A lot of the same food vendors here have also been at Mel Lastman Square events which is free to get into - I didn't feel like I was getting anything special or VIP. I was hoping to see more food vendors I hadn't seen before. -The only washrooms were portapotties which were disgusting & dirty. You can use the washrooms at enercare center but you have to leave the market & might not be allowed back in. -The VIP ticket came with a free alcoholic drink. That booth wasn't even set up yet when we arrived. Hubby was able to get a soju bomb later. -There are no recycle bins or green bins. Everything goes into the garbage. That's a lot of waste. When we got home we opened up the lanterns to look at them. They are cheap plastic lanterns. We recycled them at home. The electronic tea lights are ones you can get at the dollar store. It was nice to experience a different night market but I don't think I'll come back to this one. There are tons of free-entry night markets around the city that I can go to.

The Waterfront Night Market had a great vibe this year. Everything we sampled was pretty fantastic. We started off with a leek pie that was made fresh right in front of us. Amazing seeing how the dough ball turned into a stuffed pie with series of expert twists. It was hot and delicious. Then we went for some lamb skewers - we chose the stand that had the biggest pieces and the longest line-up. We were not disappointed. It was fun watching the skewer masters get them cooked just right before dusting them with cumin. Hot and greasy and perfect. Then we went for some ShaoBing Ge-Pockets. They make these stuffed flatbreads in a tandoor style oven that was inside a wooden barrel. They slap the flat breads onto the inside surface to cook. We had the Spicy Pork Pocket and it was very tasty. If I saw these guys at a market I would definitely get these again. But the real standout was Betel Leaf Wrapped Beef from a Vietnamese stand. They were perfectly grilled and then we splashed them with a little fish sauce. We could have eaten these for days. Unfortunately we didn't note the name of the stand. If anyone knows this one, let us know! As confessed, we did a terrible job of keeping track of the individual stalls and there was no list of vendors anywhere online so it wasn't possible to look them up after. Topped off by the music, water feature, bridge and floating lanterns, the Waterfront Night Market was a fun night out.

Tasty and fairly authentic, however pricey and slow service. Super friendly, fun people and some really interesting presentations. Would go again for sure.

It's really fun to go here with friends or family in the summer, they have a huge variety of food you can try. I've tried a kimchi bulgolgi sandwich, okonomiyaki, skewers, oyster pancake, and thai tea and loves all of them! It is a bit expensive (usually $8-10 for each dish, but if you go in a group you can try a lot of different things without breaking the bank. Since it's near Ontario place, you can also take a walk after as well and view the sunset and digest!

Good variety of food! Could be less redundancy though (4-5 vendors all selling grilled squid). The super loud club techno was a bit hard to talk over. Still had a delicious meal, lineups get long later in the eve so go earlier!

The festival would've been fantastic if the music wasn't there. EDM blasting from every direction was not the vibe. I don't want to feel the bass while floating lanterns. I was hoping to experience the noise and atmosphere of an actual night market. I love EDM, even went for all 3 days at VELD this year, but there is a time and place for everything. That money would be better spent on local Asian artists and encourage buskers using traditional instruments to participate. I will not be visiting again and I'll be discouraging people from attending because of these reasons.

If i could give them a 0. I would and these are the reasons why. 1. This is very unprofessional, and disorganized business. There was a bunch of customers, including me, trying to find them to get things straight out with our tickets. All Friday and 2 emails later no response so I have resort to yelp.ca - one of their sponsors 2. the ticket it states that you open at 4 pm but you made me wait for 1 hour to let us (a crowd) in. You refuse to come out to fix the problem, which could have given us extra beer token, coupons, tickets to Saturday, or something 3. people at the front refuse to give me lanterns despite that I showed them the ticket purchase page which state that i get a lantern. They eventually gave me one after the 2 ticket girls told them that i was right and told them to give me one. These individual's gave me a dirty look. When I asked them about a upgrade from general administration to vip. They said that they would get back to me and never did. When I saw that guy he claim that he never worked at the event and he was trying to hide the landyard that states that he did. I pretty sure I wasn't the only one that asked about the upgrade at last minute. Looks like they lost a lot of additional mone 4. When I ordered desert, one of your camera guy spat at my food while the lady was making it and took a picture while she was making it. That camera guy didn't even ask if I was willing to let him take a picture and he gave me an attitude over it - several hours later he made several unprofessional and unappreciated comments with attitude . This camera guy was a white person. That poor lady had to redo my order 5.Not only that several of your bar tenders were being unprofessional as well, they took advantage of my desert situation and took pictures of my desert without out asking me or the server.

Overpriced entrance fee. Stalls don't have prices because they change the price to whomever they feel. I paid 20 for 3 meat sticks when my again friend got it for 15. The ATM fee is 5$?? Solely based on that I refused to take out money to buy anything. Have been going every year until this one. Can't justify it.
