Had the best lunch ever at Flora, the newly opened restaurant (since June ‘24) of Thora Vineyard, situated between Båstad and Torekov. You can choose between a la carte or a set menu, and their wine list offers of course their own wines. I ordered a glass of one of their white wines and it was beyond my expectations! Make sure to book in advance!

Kallbadhuset

This historic cold bath is one of my favorite places to visit in Båstad. It has separate sauna facilities and cold bath areas for men and women, and a joint Japanese hot tub and lounge area where you can enjoy tea / fika by the fireplace.

Kapten Bille's Café & Hostel

Scenic spot for a coffee stop along the Göta Canal. Actually wanted to stop for coffee at a neighboring place (the small “yellow house” 30 meters away) which was closed because it was sold a few weeks ago to new owners. Would love to try the new spot as well next time!

Prästgården Annerstad Taverna

Hidden gem! Prästgården Annerstad is a farm stay B&B but also has a Taverna with delicious pizzas, as well as a “lanthandel” farm store with handmade items like wooden bowls, beeswax candles, ecological teas etc. We stopped here for lunch on our drive from Skåne to Stockholm and were pleasantly surprised!

Bjäre Bokhandel AB

Perhaps the loveliest bookshop in all of Skåne. Apart from books, they sell board games, some interior accessories, and beautiful cards. There is also a cafe on the inner courtyard.

Karl Fredrik på Eklaholm

Magical flower & interiors store filled with beautiful plants and unique pieces for your garden. Also has a cute cafe.

Aunt Green and Elin & Arvid

Farmers market boutique located between Båstad and Torekov. Sells everything from delicious cheeses, marmelades and truffles to handmade pasta, craft olive oil and ready to go desserts. Great place to buy going away gifts!

The Boathouse Båstad

Boathouse bageri i Båstad är bästa bageriet här! Öppet varje dag 07-13, säljer limpor, frallor och bakelser samt härgjord äppelcider mm.

Öl och knäcke i Gladsax

Fantastiskt pizza ställe på Österlen som gör pizzor på knäckebröd. Som namnet antyder finns även en välsorterad ölmeny.

Much welcomed addition to Båstad. Wine bar with sharing plates. Dog friendly.

Spiseriet

Great stop on a west coast road trip! Great pizzas and natural wine selection. Also has a little shop inside with gourmet cheeses that you can bring home.

Skrea Matbruk

We accidentally found this hidden gem on a road trip a few years ago when driving on the western coast of Sweden. Since then, we’ve been back twice (on purpose). I describe Skrea Matbruk as “Tuscany outside of Falkenberg”. The food is to die for, they have their own micro gin brewery (and great cocktails) and you sit in the middle of the prairie surrounded by nature.
