Despite a huge crowd of people, I had a great stay at Svedjan.

It was Swedish autumn break and everyone wanted to come here, I now understand why:
Great bread buns, delicious cardamom buns, great coffee from Koppi.

I counted at least twelve people working in the service. Congratulations for such a clockwork!

We stopped by here quickly lunch time on a Friday and it was easy getting a table. Food wise, we ordered a cardamom bun, pain au chocolate and sourdough roll with cheese and cucumber. We got a hot choc and flat white for drinks. While the cardamom bun wasn't to my taste (a bit too sweet and a little soggy) and the hot choc a little too milky, the pain au choc and sourdough roll were absolutely outstanding.

Very nice Chinese restaurant. The food was extremely nice and tasty, you can tell that they put a lot of effort in sourcing the ingredients and  making the food.  Service was good as well, the only “complaint” would be opening hours which feel limited but that’s understandable being a small businesses. Really enjoyed the food and will for sure go back!

Great lady who provide fantastic noodle!!
The noodles are all hand made. We tried the new dish this time which is a traditional Beijing type noodles. The taste was fantastic! And the amount of noodles were great. My friends came as well they all love it! Will always come!

I'm Korean, but when I studied in China for a while,
the noodles and dumplings I ate in Beijing were just same as good.
Of course, the prices were very different 🙄

Update February 2024: Second time here and the food continued surprising me. This is the most authentic Northern Chinese styled noodle place you can find in Stockholm, as well as outstanding wonton soup and Xiaolongbao. The Xiaolongbao dough was thin and stretchy, and the flavorful minced meat and vegetables was soaked in warm stock. The Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) are only served on Tuesdays, since this dish is so rare in Stockholm, don’t miss out.
First visit April 2023: 4.5-star food, 5-star service.
This place serves very authentic northern Chinese style noodles. The noodles were handmade, and boiled to a perfect texture. The noodles with beef and bean sauce has a history of over 700 years in China, and this place really made it well. The prawn wonton soup was the best I had in Stockholm, the umami of the prawns were maximized with the clear soup base.
The only improvement that can be done is the selection of chicken. I could taste in the chicken aubergine noodles that the chicken meat was the frozen type. I would rather pay for more to get this delicious dish made with corn fed chicken meat.
I will come back again to try more things on the menu.
