The Ritz-Carlton Osaka stands out for its exceptional service. The entire staff embodies the reputation and tradition the brand is known for, and I was genuinely impressed during my first stay at a Ritz-Carlton. The hotel exudes a sense of classical luxury throughout.

That said, I’m personally not a fan of the interior design. This is purely a matter of taste and not a criticism of the hotel itself—it’s clearly a very fine property. I just find the décor and overall aesthetic a bit “stuffy” for my preferences.

The spa was another highlight, with a great setup including a steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and ofuro.

Overall, this is easily one of the top hotels in Osaka.

We stayed here during our time in Osaka. The hotel was lovely and the location was near plenty of shopping and food.

Taking a taxi from the hotel to main historic sites was only a few minutes.

The room was lovely and there were assorted teas and pastries provided.

There was also a lovely high tea service with beautiful views while we were checked in by staff. Overall, a lovely experience!

Also, be sure to check out the bakery downstairs. The fruit based desserts were some of the best I tried during my time there!

A Truly 5-Star Experience
Our stay at this hotel was fantastic from start to finish! The services were exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Leo, who was at the front, was super helpful. He assisted us with getting a taxi, managing our luggage service, and even helped us with other reservations. His attentiveness made a big difference to our experience especially when travelling with a toddler.

The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially since we were traveling with our one-year-old daughter. They provided us with pajamas for her and always made sure we had plates for her meals. The level of thoughtfulness was beyond what we expected.

The rooms were spacious, and the bathroom was amazing! We loved having double sinks, which is not common in Japan, and it made things so much more convenient for us. The overall comfort and cleanliness of the room made our stay even more enjoyable.

We had the breakfast buffet every morning, and it was absolutely delicious! There was a great variety, and everything tasted fresh. I do recommend making restaurant reservations early, though—by the time we tried to book, most places were already full.

Another great perk was the babysitting service, which we didn’t get a chance to use, but it’s wonderful to know it's available for families. We also appreciated the hotel picking us up from the limo bus stop when we arrived from the airport—such a thoughtful touch.

The location of the hotel was perfect, close to food places, and it was really convenient for rainy or cold days to visit Garden City, which also connected us to the station.

We have no complaints. From the turn-down service to all the little details in the room cleaning, everything was immaculate. The entire staff truly made it feel like a 5-star hotel experience. We are so thankful for everyone—from check-in to check-out—for making our trip smooth and memorable. We would love to stay here again in the future. Many thanks to all the staff for making our trip so memorable!

Ritz-Carlton Osaka is located near the main transportation hub of Osaka, Osaka station. It takes about 15 minutes to reach by foot and it is connected via underground passageways which links several departmental stores as well as Hilton.

The hardware is what is one could expect from the Ritz, eloquently European designed large rooms fitted with luxurious amenities.

However, what stood out was the service and it would be a disservice to name any individuals. Everyone, from the front desk to the waiters and cleaners goes above and beyond in providing the stay a memorable one. Small gestures such as noting birthdays and providing simple gifts made the stay an even more enjoyable one. The breakfast spread was huge and it was pleasant that at some times of the day, there would be someone playing the piano. We also appreciate the turn down service, coming back to the rooms in the evening with chocolates by the bed.

I look forward to staying here again in my future trips to Osaka.

Stayed here for one night and oh my it definitely changed my mind how I view luxury. I’m only a gold member but I got upgraded to a twin executive room (no executive lounge access) and was given some chocolates, strawberries, tea and a birthday note. I love my stay at Hilton Kyoto but man I’m so happy that I decided to stay at Ritz instead of St Regis. Now I can’t stop comparing all hotel stays with ritz. If you love Victorian style or old British luxury, you’ll defiantly love this place. Best place to stay for now.
