Lovely, delicate African cuisine! Spices and stocks has been used in a clever way and the dishes visually were very appealing. I had never really tried a high-end African restaurant before so it was a very fun experience. The cocktails were also very unique and unusual, especially the spiced okra martini.

Amazing experience! This Michelin-starred spot serves incredible West African food with a creative twist. The tasting menu was full of bold, vibrant flavors—every dish was a hit, especially the Mushroom Moi, the Banga and the incredible dessert of ice cream, meringue and blackberries. The service was top-notch too—friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience! Oh, and the Okra Martini was the bomb.

The staff was kind, friendly, and efficient but a little quiet when presenting the food. The food was really good for London. The only flaw was that there were many scales on the fish still (perhaps they forgot to descale the fish tonight). My only other complaint is the same that I have about many Michelin star restaurants: I leave a little hungry (and feel like I need to stop for a burger on the way home). There are some practical solutions to this including having a larger side dish of rice or even asking if the patron would like any one of the dishes again.

One of the beautiful and unique experiences is the Chishuru restaurant experience, owned by the creative chef Adejoké, who began her passion for cooking from a food cart during her university studies to a food truck in Southwest London.

The restaurant has a set menu with a set of 3 flavorful delicious appetizers, main course and the unique dessert.

Excellent menu and great atmosphere. The only downside was that we were rushed out after desert as “another table was waiting” even though we arrived on time and we didn’t pass the 2hr mark (still a good 20 minutes to go). For a Michelin star restaurant where we had not just the menu but also cocktails before and wine pairing during, that took a bit from the good experience.
Edit: the restaurant was kind enough to respond, so I would only add that we arrived promptly but only sat at our table at 5.55 (as another couple was waiting for the maitre d’ ahead. That’s not important, the comment around the experience was that right after the dessert was served and finished the check came immediately and as soon as we paid we were told that “an angry table is waiting, if you could please go and thank you”. This was the odd bit, I am sure that they were under time pressure, which I understand, and was not done on purpose. Once again, great menu and highly recommended.
