Little expensive, but a beautiful ride up. Go EARLY, we thankfully did not have a wait, but on the way back we saw the long line for a ride up there. We were also able to park at Seceda Cable Car which was nice.

Access to Seceda cable car was easy. We had to take 2 long escalators from Ortisei main town area, and climbed to level 2 to purchase tickets.

There are 2 destinations, one to middle station Furnes, where you can hike up, or all the way to Seceda directly. Price for one way is 33 and two way is 45, which is more worth it.

However, we took the one way, because we wanted to hike from Seceda down to Col Raiser and explore there as well. It is better get 1 way if you want to hike around, if not you’ll be stuck by a circular hike back to the main station if you get the 2 way.

The climb to the funicular was not very difficult as the road to the lift is with excavators, but relatively long as the track moves slowly.  There is a platform where you can buy tickets both there and back, it cost 40 euros to climb Mount Seceda for one adult (price for July 2023).  Stand in line to buy a ticket for up to 10 minutes, and wait another 5 minutes for a booth.  Everything happens very quickly, so you have to be careful.  There is a transition platform on the lift, where you can transfer to a large cabin with a capacity of up to 20 people, which goes to the top of Mount Seceda.  It was a little scary, but the mountain scenery is incredible and worth the trip on the lift.  It is important to take into account the time when you return from a walk in the mountains and to get back to the lift in time to catch the bus (if you chose the route with it), because these large cabins do not run very often.  Inside the room there is a nice guide map, which shows the locations and what the mountain area looks like in different seasons.  At the top of Mount Seceda there is also an observation deck with the names of the peaks.  In the lift with a small cabin there are 2 benches where up to 4-6 people can sit, but in the large cabin there is only standing room and everyone stands tightly, therefore, if possible, it is better for tourists to leave their things in the hotel.  The ascent does not last long, up to 15-30 minutes (along with waiting and transfer).

Expensive, but beautiful. You can choose to use cable car from St. Christina for cheaper (& with beautiful views if you’re going on good weather day). Weekday, in middle of summer - no big queues anywhere.  You can buy tickets online receiving  QR code on email. Price is the same though.

HIGHLY recommend coming here! The food was absolutely incredible as were the views and atmosphere. We ordered the beetroot risotto and homemade tagliolini which were phenomenal. We found the restaurant from hiking down Seceda however you can drive here as well

We had 2 outstanding meals here - one for dinner and then again for lunch a few days later.

First of all, the atmosphere is very special - there are several small rooms inside, each beautifully decorated in a mountain glam type style with romantic lightning. Very intimate and pleasant.

The food - fancier for dinner and more casual for lunch - was delicious. We loved everything, but the alpine fish dishes were especially good (Char and Trout, each raw or cured).

For dinner we drove, but for lunch we hiked from Ortisei (45 minutes, quite steep, but along a beautiful river).

Will definitely come again when we return to the area.

Awesome restaurant! Perfect place to get good traditional and local food. We were in the big room upstairs, under the roof, the atmosphere is magic. Waiters are nice and helpful. It's a bit pricy but worth it!

Right by the piste, a nice place to grab a snack and a drink at the end of the day returning to Ortisei. The burger is really really good, and the drinks were top notch. The service is fast and they spoke English. Worth a stop.
